I think the rain will be in Livingston's favor.
I would too, PNG has played all of its games on turf. They have yet to play in the mud. Advantage Livingston, IMO.
From what i have heard, the Indians have been practicing on the old practice field instead of the turf, and the coaches have watered the field.
That is smart considering it has been raining... ???
I live in Port Neches and have been cutting my grass with no problems. It hadn't rained enough to create a problem there. That old practice field drains real well also.
Well I am certain that if it's grass in Livingston, thier coaches will be flooding the visitor sidelines tomorrow for a lil extra help from DEM' SKEETERS
According to one of the Livingston posters there is more dirt on the field than grass. They were having problems and even hired professional help.

Glad to hear that. Very good idea.

Notice Quinton Jackson has rushed for more yards that the PN-G QB has thrown for. WOW!!!!1
We try to keep a balanced offense, also notice Caleb Harmon is second behind Mr. Jackson in addition to what the PNG QB has thrown for.

Livingston 28 PNG 13
poor guy. still hurting over the l-train's loss last night?
livingstons got this one no problem png had trouble against barbers hill just wait livingston has this one no problem livingston hung with LUMBERTON!!!!!!!!!
Lumberton only beat Barbers Hill by 6. BH played them a good game also, I wouldn't knock em. BH played us better than anyone else has this season. The only team we have had trouble with is ourselves. If we can clean up all the penalties we will be tough to beat.

with a team like this, why envy anyone. there's not a team in 20 4A that has any reason to envy another. And by the way, The officials took quite a few big plays from us that would have made it alot uglier for the Bears. But my saying that is not to take anything from the bears, they are a respectable team. But I think we did what we had to beat a very good team. Our D dominated at the end. That final goal line stand showed me something, two weeks in a row. Our Offense scored two plays later from our own 4 or 5 yd line ;D two plays 95 yds to put the game away. Yea that's something to envy someone else about, huh? I'm not gonna worry about the polls. Its been in our favor not to be number one. keep everyone else at the top ;D Just keep winning and stay #1Sgt. Rey you continue to talk trash to PNG, what's up? It must be mid county envy just like the rest of Beaumont people. PNG has proven most people wrong this year, and if they cut down on the mistakes they just might win out in the regular season. No doubt the rest of their district games are going to be tough, but if you take a couple of mishaps out of the LCM/Central game, it's close till the end. The next three weeks will tell you just how good PNG is. If your upset there is no WB thread go make one.
Polls don't mean anything, I think its best to fly under the radar. It's nice to get the recognition but all that matters is how you finish. We will definitely have to fix some very correctable mistakes we are making in order to stay on top. We have been able to overcome the penalties and remain unbeaten but the tougher part of our schedule is coming. I think if we can cut back on the penalties we have a good chance and can play with anybody, but if we continue the sloppy mistakes it will be tough.

The closest top to bottom I ever recall seeing.

Is there anywhere that also shows head to head matchups against individual teams?
The link I gave in the post earlier shows scores from each individual games from the 1920's to 2007. Somebody did an awesome job and some major research.

Could someone know where I can find PN-G's won/losss record since 1970? Thanks in advance

PNG favors the coin toss to decide.
Ouch, bad memories!

I've always liked Mathews, class act. Except for the week against us I am pulling for Vidor. Good luck guys!

"Oh yea, thats right. We're 4-0." Get a hold of yourself PNG people. Look at who've you played. A game against Brabers Hill that was way closer than it should have been, Crosby (Enough said), and an interception away from overtime against LCM. Wait, who? Thats right, LCM. PNG is just like Ole' Miss, they have yet to prove a thing. Lets take a look at what it would be like if PNG had Nederland's schedule and vice versa. PNG would be 1-3 with their only win coming against Ozen. They would have gotten crushed against WOS, Waller and Friendswood. And Nederland would be a sure 4-0. This is gonna be a better game than everyone thinks, just watch. You PNG people don't want to believe this but its true.
Remember this? Looks like I was right. The Dogs kept it close, and if it wasn't for 3 fumbled snaps I bet they would have won. So I'll say it again, if you predicted the score to be complete blowout get a hold of yourself. PNG isn't that great.
if, if ,if ! If we had not had all the penalties
nevermind, we're 5-0 but still haven't played anybody.
Honestly, go back and look I knew it would be a good game as usual.

Have to give it to the Bulldogs, for being "beat up" with injuries, you guys came out and played tough. You're right, PNG has to work on clock management and the stupid penalties....if we can "fine tune" this, we'll be a force to reckon with. I think Faircloth will work out the kinks this week.....believe my Indians will come away with the "W" at Livingston.
I too believe Faircloth will work out the false starts, holding etc.... What I do like, is we will do what it takes. The balanced offense will be tough to stop if we can just quit stopping ourselves. Line up to stop Harmon and the passing game is there. Play for the pass and Harmon can hurt you. We'll be fine.
-
I think the Jags will be tough for anyone to beat, they are good.
-
Should be a good game. We will have to clean up the sloppy penalties.
-
Should be a good one, Nederland's defense found away to stop us where as I don't feel LCM really ever did. We could have and should ran Harmon at LCM all night, they couldn't stop him. But LCM's offense looked better than Nederlands. Should make for a good game.
-
If we can find away to stop killing ourselves with stupid penalties on good drives we will be fine. I'm waiting to see two particular plays that were used in the first couple games that worked everytime, and haven't been used since the second game.
-
We have got penalized bad every game. And yes legitimate penalties, we are making too many mistakes. I think Lovelady matched up better against us than Cardenas would have. He played one heck of a game and in the end, going both ways wore him down. If we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot we will be fine. We will not get away with killing drives with penalties against some of the better teams. What we are doing, is finding ways to win. 5 and 0, i'll take it.

Thanks for the info. How about some real honest, not bias, score predictions from all.To Nederland fans, The railroad tracks at Merriman and Twin City are blocked off. Need to go down HWY 365 or Saba Ln to get to the stadium. Parking is worst than ever. Construction on the new addition at the high school has taken almost all available room. May consider side street between the stadium and the plant. Just be careful and watch the kids, those streets are VERY narrow and you never know who might open a car door or where that kid ran out from. Best of luck and SCALP'EM INDIANS!!!
I never like to try and predict when these two get together, honestly.

Probably when Ned broke their win streak in 84.
That was a big moment, but I didn't see it as an upset. It was a lot like this season only, we were injury bitten and on our third QB. In 1984 I didn't see us having much of a chance that year.
-
I don't know that it was considered an upset by everyone but in 1998 all the papers and most people didn't believe we could win but won 28 - 7. This was Dustin Long's junior season and he had been very successful passing all year to the Coburn twins. Ned pretty much came in to stop Long and the Coburn's, we ran most of the night and Bo Wortham had one of his better games of his career. Pretty much saw a replay of the same situation next year with Wortham again being the deciding factor. Those are the only two years of Neumann vs. Burnett that I felt Burnett outcoached him.

The flu is a much bigger concern at PNG than grades.
