  1. On paper, PNG's JV shoulda beat Nederland by 4TD's last night, it was a 2 TD game with Nederland getting a long TD run called back. A lot of kids who would be on JV are moved up to the varsity.  I think this looms large for tonight.  You can't play this game on paper, there's more to it than that.

I agree 100% that the game can't be played on paper. If it was played on paper we wouldn't be 4 - 0 right now. The situation this year reminds me a lot of 1984, only the injury shoe is on the other foot. In 1984 we were down to our third QB(brought up from JV). We had many injuries(lost 7 starters against French, the eventual state champion). Even despite a 19 year PNG winning streak, Nederland was favored heavily and won 13 - 7 in a war. You can go back and look at scores and there are a few, but not a bunch of blowouts. This will be a good game just like so many of the others, good luck to all on what will hopefully be an injury free night.

  2. PNG could be missing a few player's as I've heard several player's have been out with the flu. It looks like the flu-bug has made to PNG just in time for MCM.

Is that like a just in case we lose excuse?  :-* We had to order a extra bench for the wounded. We have EMT'S on speed dial. One EMT is now related to us somehow? You gotta love it. One good thing will come out of this game, we will get to play at a first class stadium.

Afraid we can't use that excuse, after 12 pages of em' there has to be a copyright on it.  ;) On a serious note we had two offensive linemen out last week. I do not know what the situation is this week. I am looking forward to a good game, hopefully we will come out on top.

  3. I'm looking forward to the game. I just hope we clean up some of the mistakes.Every week it seems just when we are about to pull away we breakdown with some mistakes or penalties. The timing of the mistakes have hurt. I realize there is fine line between a real good play and a penalty. But, we need to clean it up some. It has kept our games close and could eventually cost us one or more.

  5. It totally amazes me people on here....LCM will NEVER be given the credit DUE!!!! There were BAD calls on both sides...What about the one where Sonnier caught the ball and made 2 steps inbound before going out of bounds and then was told it was incomplete.  Why cant you people give the LCM players the credit that is due them...They busted their butts out there tonight and have totally improved 150% from previous years.  You guys are just upset that they didn't run over and play dead like you all thought they would.   You guys are sorry winners and sorry loser.

PROUD OF ALL THE LCM PLAYERS YOU DID A GREAT JOB TONIGHT!!!

Read my previous post I mentioned the call. It looked like one of the many bad calls on both sides.

  6. There were horrible calls on both sides, but we didn't dominate by any means. LCM ate us up on the three reciever set up throwing the screens. Our defense never adjusted to it and never played close up on them. I imagine they had 150 yards passing and our passing continues to struggle. We had them on the ropes running the ball and then got away from it to throw a INT. Hats off to LCM and I bet they suprise a couple of teams before it's over. Congrats NDNS, another not so pretty win, but I'll take it.

LCM did find that three receiver set that gave us trouble, but we should have scored three more touchdowns. LCM absolutely could not stop us. All they did was let us stop ourselves, that was the only defense they had. Doty needs to quit making bad decisions. But in his defense he stayed under pressure all season. The o line does a good job run blocking but is struggling with a pass block.Bad calls went both ways. The bad call that hurt LCM was the incomplete pass in fourth quareter that looked like a completion from my vantage point. We got called for a late hit while a tipped ball was still in the air. Another was the fumble called following one of many  of Harmon's 30 or 40 yd runs.He hit the ground before the ball came loose.Yes, it was just one official making all the bad calls.

Looks pretty obvious that they are keeping that stat by number of receptions not total yardage. If not DeRon would be number two followed by your man, then Brady.

  11. LCM appears to be for real. They played WOS a tougher game than Nederland did. 20-4A is going to be wild. I wouldn't count anyone out.

what you saying is that MCM could be for 7th and 8th place in district?

Nothing would surprise me. Seriously, what I am saying is this district will be tougher top to bottom than any year I remember. Any team could be beat on any night.
