  1. Our line will have to improve on both sides of the ball if we want a chance to beat Crosby. Doty looked real good. They(BH) put a lot ofpressure on him and he handled it well. DeRon is for real, he is a good receiver. We had a hard time tackling BH's QB, he is a good athlete, with a little experience he will be real good. He missed a couple wide open receivers. As far as christmas present giveaways sometimes they are takeaways. Our secondary played a real good game. Some of the interceptions were very athletic plays on the part of the secondary. We made some very sloppy penalties at very bad times. Several of them caused some big plays to be called back. Overall I believe the BH fans will agree that there was good moments and bad moments for both teams. But it was the first game. I am still very happy with our team, most of the problems I saw were small and very correctable.1-0 i'll take it.
  2. There is a small parking lot at the field house that Coach Faircloth has said would be for handicap and media. This is on the visitors side to the south end of the stadium off Park street. I would arrive early though.
  3. I am not a fan of four teams going to the playoffs or even three for that matter. Most years it lets in some questionable playoff worthy teams. But, this year I believe the circumstances are much different in 20-4A. This year more than one good team will stay home. This season should be interesting, it may come down to who can stay healthy.
  4. El Paso Hanks, our drive doesn't sound too bad compared to theirs.Thats a long, lonely ride from EP to SA.But the 80 MPH speed limit west of Kerrville helps a little.
  5. Pretty much like everyone else said. We have a nice facility with not so good parking. The street behind visitors side is Park Street and the streets crossing it are Ave.C,D,E. I would park on one of these streets since you will be entering on visitors side. The earlier you get there the closer you will get to the visitors entrance off Park Street. The few small parking lots at the school are closer to the Home entrance and fill up quick. I usually park on ave.C. Its a little walk but easier when leaving.
  6. Yes I agree 100%. I wouldn't count ANYONE out.
  7. Gregory Portland has a good program. Bruce Bush (PNG Defensive end coach during the Etheridge era) built their program before he built another first class program at San Marcos. Should be fun.
  8. I don't know about Etheridge being one of the best in the state ever. He did teach the kids to block and tackle the right way, and was an excellent motivator. But, what he did best was sorround himself with good assistants...Bruce Bush, Greg Davis, Tim Nunez, Ken Clearman etc. Once some of these guys moved on to bigger and better things the Indians success fell off(around 1980). I believe Danny Malone was a better coach than Etheridge. I really like what I'm seeing with Coach Faircloth. This guy has something special and will be very successful. No one can legitimately sit here and say he is the best ever here at this point. But, I believe there is a good chance we will be able to say that after a chance to prove it.
  9. BH Coach "Ok , everyone off the bus. Where's Willy? Was this picture taken at Indian Stadium or at Nederland Little League?
  10. I just flipped a coin for those four as well as West Hardin/ Warren.
  11. I am very pleased at our progress. This district will really be tough this year. Good chance some teams that are regulars in the playoffs could be left out. I believe in most years this Indian team would get in the playoffs very easily, but this year the district is wide open. Who knows?

  13. I believe you are correct. Seems like it was the 3-3 year.
  14. I remember that! That was definitely original. I did not remember exactly what year it was, thanks for bringing it up. Didn't they run thru the PN-G sign and then circle back and run thru the Ned sign as well? Yeah they did it just as you said, ran through ours then their own. It was the football season of 86, graduating class of 87.They are younger than me but had close friends on both sides of the ball that night.
  15. As far as the Nederland/ PNG rivalry, it is a good one and has been. But in the 70's PNG's rival was TJ by far. I believe in the 80's and so on Nederland became much more competitive and the rivalry got bigger. One particular prank I remember that gets my vote for the best is one that Nederland pulled on us. I believe it was 1986 when Nederland football players entered the field before PNG amd ran through our run through sign. This gets my vote for best, yeah our totem pole got painted black and gold almost every year but the run through had some originality. I give them an A on that one.
  16. I don't really care what they look like. But, they look ok to me. I really like the helmet.
  17. I agree with AggiesAreWe, Johnson as of the start of season.
  18. Aint it so at least they get to finish their seasons. Keep em away this year Coop.Speaking of that, doesn't it figure that the high pressure that has kept us hot and dry will move off to the east just in time for the peak of hurricane season.
  19. I agree, looking forward to it also. Should definitely be a good game between two quality and similar school districts.
  20. Yes sir, the time is getting closer. I like what I have seen thus far!
  21. I'm not sure if I believe we should be there or not but last year means nothing. In 1999 we played in the state championship game and turned around in 2000 and failed to make the playoffs. Last years record doesn't have much bearing on this year. The only thing that helped is getting some of the guys that will be filling in for the ones lost to graduation four more weeks of practice.
  22. Yes he is very smart. And better than that he is great for the kids. Coach Faircloth and the staff he has put in place are the best thing that has happened at the Reservation in a long time. Anyone who knows any of the kids can tell you there is a big change in the attitudes at PNG.
