  2. As far as the Nederland/ PNG rivalry, it is a good one and has been. But in the 70's PNG's rival was TJ by far. I believe in the 80's and so on Nederland became much more competitive and the rivalry got bigger. One particular prank I remember that gets my vote for the best is one that Nederland pulled on us. I believe it was 1986 when Nederland football players entered the field before PNG amd ran through our run through sign. This gets my vote for best, yeah our totem pole got painted black and gold almost every year but the run through had some originality. I give them an A on that one.

I remember that! That was definitely original. I did not remember exactly what year it was, thanks for bringing it up. Didn't they run thru the PN-G sign and then circle back and run thru the Ned sign as well?

Yeah they did it just as you said, ran through ours then their own. It was the football season of 86, graduating class of 87.They are younger than me but had close friends on both sides of the ball that night.

  4. Getting awful close to that August 28th kickoff with BH. Can't wait to head ya'lls way and kick it off. Ought to be good one!

Its nice to play class program, no trash talk between schools, just respect...Hope ya'll go 9-1.....

I agree, looking forward to it also. Should definitely be a good game between two quality and similar school districts.

  5. Garbage rankings.  PN-G didn't even make the playoffs last year and they up there....  Longview is No. 1?    And more confusing, no Central?  I don't care who they lost.  We alternated starters.  a lot of our young players played last year...  and besides, we made it 4 rounds deep....  Ohh well, once again, we have to prove ourself.  Let's get started, Jags...

I'm not sure if I believe we should be there or not but last year means nothing. In 1999 we played in the state championship game and turned around in 2000 and failed to make the playoffs. Last years record doesn't have much bearing on this year. The only thing that helped is getting some of the guys that will be filling in for the ones lost to graduation four more weeks of practice.

  6. Game time yet ??? gezz this is taking forever :'( BH by 42 PNG coach hasn't never seen a HILL ;D ;D ;D

Its getting closer. Five weeks, and looking forward to it. Hope you guys enjoy the new facility, we are proud of it.

I cannot wait to see the new PNG stadium! This will defenitly have the feel of a playoff game! I'm sure PNG will be pumped and load the stands while BH will travel well and bring some Blue into the new stadium ;D When we get a little closer to game time post some directions for the BHers.

Will do but just a heads up,our parking is not the best.

  7. Lumberton played New Caney Bridge City and Cleveland in 2007, and play Hamshire Fannet and Barbers Hill now. Predistrict games go in 2 year contracts.. this is the second year.

I don't think L-Town would want any of Cleveland this year.

I don't think png would want any of 20-4a this year. I wish we could get a multi million dollar field we couldn't win in.

??? We're in 20 4A, we will get some whether we want some or not. ::)

  8. I'd put money on central. PNG may have the best coach I don't think any of us know at this point but they don't have anywhere near the caliber of athletes.

I don't think so. Face it we have the most room for improvement with a top notch coach and some good athletes. We will have IMO two of the top four receivers in the district. It will come down to Faircloth developing our QB, which he has a track record of doing. Not to mention Brennan Doty is very talented athlete. I think the advantage for "improvement" is in our favor.Who will be the most successful... who knows?
