  1. Good move, it will speak for itself. Of course the person who quoted you came to our site and got that. Everyone gets excited and talks it up on THEIR OWN SITE. I have seen things on others, and in fact some things were comical. But, if it would have bothered me that bad I just wouldn't go on that site. GET THE HINT OUTSIDERS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T LOOK AT IT.Or, you could address it on that site instead of running back over here and crying. Come on, everyone gets pumped up and talks up their teams on their sites. Thats what they are for. Nederland definitely had a good offense last year. The Offense carried them to the playoffs after just missing the year before. Neumann will always have a good O. He uses what he has very well. As for Dayton, gosh who can argue with one of the best programs in the area.I believe 99% of the PNG people will admit this, we are just excited with the changes here that were way overdue.
  2. What defines athlete? speed alone, ability to execute a task, someone who can stay focused enough under pressure to perform, power? Just posing a question?
  3. I hope so. Must say I like the way things are going. It should be a very interesting fall.
  4. Thats right. That brings the total to six new coaches. Ain't it great how that works, and to think there were some on here saying the job was not attractive because the new coach would not be able to bring any of his own with him. I definitely like what is happening.
  5. It doesn't take long talking with him to figure that does it. He is VERY intelligent. We are fortunate to have landed him.
  6. I have to agree! Dustin Long was ranked third in the state, but that was 1999. I can't remember anyone ranking as high as Johnson since 2000. And all this is before his senior season. Pretty awesome.
  7. Two very good recievers there. If we get the right QB to get the ball two them, they will be dangerous. I agree, these two will be game changers and dangerous. Do you know who will be the starting QB for PNG next year? I heard Doty recently, but I think it will play out in spring with pads on. Heard the same, Doty. Could change by August. I do have confidence that Faircloth will have the right one.
  8. Good deal, I would expect a full house for this. A good chance to welcome Coach Faircloth and Company.
  9. What a zero! Don't read nothing that isn't there. We are very happy with Faircloth and what he is doing. That's why there was a question mark. I understand that a football coach wants his players in the offseason program, especially when he is implementing his program. I just find it hard to believe that the VARSITY baseball players would be required to participate during their Varsity season. We hear so much garbage about "sharing athletes", but in reality the coaches seem to want kids in only ONE sport, THEIRS! Unbelievable.... WE NEED A NEW COACH!!! WAA WAA....GET RID OF BURNET....WAA WAA.......... WE GOT A NEW COACH!!! YEA............................................ THE NEW COACH IS WORKING THEM TOO HARD!!! WAA WAA........ Come on man. ??? What a zero! Don't read nothing that isn't there. We are very happy with Faircloth and what he is doing.
  10. The cost of a Big Gulp per day... just need to have your priorities in order, I'm sold. Especially based on what we're getting. Nothing wrong with a bond to better you school district. Just do your homework and do it right the first time. Sometimes it best to sit back and learn from someones else's mistakes so you can get it right on the first go round. I am happy with our improvements done and being done. Its just that you know the saying, hind sight is 20/20. On any project you can always look back and see where you could have done it better. Best of luck if it is what ya'll vote to do. Now back to the original topic, how is the spring training?

  12. PNG's Freshman beat Nederland last year.So the group from undefeated C.O. from two years ago lost as Freshman.PNG's Freshman from two years ago won also, so what. It doesn't mean anything for Friday night, except some "talent" is coming up on both sides. For me to sit here and say because we got a new coach we will automatically start dominating would be crazy. What I will say is that in the past when the two were fairly evenly matched(talent wise), Nederland won on coaching. Neumann is a great coach and built a good program. But, he will have to actually do his homework against from now on. Win or lose it won't come for free, for Spell. I look forward to some good matchups in the future. Nederland will continue to be a great program.I just think we will become more consistent. By that I mean year in and year out, not just when we have the right kids to overpower and outmatch as we did in the FEW successful years of the past 7 or 8.
  13. You are right penny,we put pressure on him and it was the difference in our win against Ned his soph. year. But he looked much more mature last year and unless you got a real good one to replace him next year, ya'll would be crazy to put him as a wide out.
  14. Ditto.....They will be there, count on it.
  15. Don't know if Vidor would be considered sleeper because I believe most are expecting a good team. But I look for them to be tough. I hope so, I think a lot of Coach Matthews. He is a class act.
  16. Depends on the offense.Teams that run the spread or throw the ball I like 7 on 7.For running or ball control power teams 7 on 7 doesn't mean as much. When we had Dustin Long, the Coburn twins,Joey Price 7 on 7 was priceless. But after the turn of the century when we had a power running attack with Josh Cook, Jake Hemmings, 7 on 7 didn't accomplish much for us. However you can do both as bellison1 has said, which is not a bad idea for anyone.
  17. An attempt to make himself feel better. The time is getting nearer every day.
  18. OK!!!!!!Football is King at PNG. Good Point! Baseball a very close second. Basketball.....well who cares. And I'm using fan support not playoff appearances to judge it.
  19. Number of people in the stands. I know a lot more kids are involved than basketball, but lets scratch out the parents then compare how many people are there to spectate.Compare and it won't even be close.
