  1. Coach Faircloth is doing what is probably one of the most important things to be a successful Head Coach. That is sorrounding himself with good people. He's placing some pretty heavy hitters in place.
  2. Very true, good post. Another thing is anyone who does a little research on Coach Faircloth's offense will find out it is one of the toughest to scout and prepare for. It is a very versatile offense. The question is how long it will take to learn. But as of right now we have to be considered the underdog in MCM. Nederland has one of the top area qb's coming back.We are the ones that have to prove ourselves. Can't wait, it should return to being a good one for years to come. Both sides have some good talent coming.
  3. Looking forward to the first one. I believe Barbers Hill.
  4. All three should be home games. Looking forward to them. I like our chances in all three games, things are looking good for us IMO.
  5. Are you serious? Top program in the area and one of the top in the state.
  6. I believe getting rid of Spell would be a mistake. Nederland has had some darn good defenses under him, i have to agree. One or two off years for the defense, no need to panic.
  7. Very nice. Glad to see our area getting some nice facilities.
  8. Most of the time not always Penny. Year before last not. Just about 65 to 75 percent, which is not even close to acceptable that is why Burnett and his free not having to scout week are over. The only time Burnett outcoached Neumann(and it did happen two years in a row) was when we had Dustin Long. Neumann was so determined to stop Long that Bo Wortham ate them up bad. But other than those two years Neumann has owned Burnett no doubt. He may win( and I don't think he will) but he will have to do his homework like he never has had to before.Like I said the days of using last years scouting report are way over.
  9. Thanks for the info COOP, best of luck to Welch. Heard anything on Broussard? LCM seemed to be a good fit, closer to his home. I don't believe he has left yet. I believe he coaches the powerlifting team, who by the way has done quite well.
  10. Good question. First their names are wrong, but i would guess there are two because with a new HC (who has a history of developing qb's)WE don't even know who will be our qb.Who knows our qb may not even be one of the two named, but i have confidence that the right kid for the job will be chosen.
  11. I agree. This would be a really good game. Would have to play at The Reservation because of all the fans that would be there ;D! i dont really think it would be a good game maybe when yall get back to the way png football used to be it would be a good game I second that We were 3-6 last year. It would have been ugly to have played WOS. But what is meant by "used to be",year before last we won district. We will be much improved this year. But back to the original topic I like the WOS - WB match up.
  12. Haven't heard where they are going but do know they had interviews at LCM and heard they had other good possibilities.
  13. Thats good news, glad to see them coming to town. Looks like its all coming together.
  14. Good question smitty. I haven't talked with anyone, but do know that one of them reassigned to Middle School had offers at Memorial and Bridge City. I have heard nothing more. I was wandering if any of the coaches Faircloth was bringing has arrived. Heard one of them coming was excellent and could have gotten a HC job, but wanted to be with Faircloth.Says a lot about him. I have talked with some from Permian who said we got a great one, that he was completely responsible for engineering Permians offensive success. But back to the original subject I wish Welch and Broussard the best and will definitely be interested in seeing where they end up.
  15. We'll be ok kf. The athletes are just fine.We were definitely down LAST year but the year before we won district.Well let me rephrase, we tied for district with Lumberton after we beat them because Dayton beat us. Our Freshman this past season were really good. Like it or not the future looks bright 8).We are excited about the upcoming season on the Reservation.
  16. Extremely nice area right out of Sugarland, don't know much about schools.
  17. We've got several I expect big things from, but DeRon should be our top. But, if he gets a lot of attention then watch out for Segura.
  18. The field house is fairly new, maybe late 90's. It was a fairly high dollar item that came out of the bond from the 90's. It is very nice with a great weight room.
  19. Thanks for the kind words bear.
