My only comment is I don't think EC will lose to Hardin at home. If they do then they may as well get the sneakers and round ball out because they're not ready for Mart.
Good points Hotrodg. 18-1 over the last 2 years. 8-0 against 3-A competition. 9-0 in district. Only loss against the state champs. TT won't let them lose. Buna has talent and I'm sure they'll be ready to play. It could be a close game if things work out for them (i.e. ball control). But it wouldn't suprise me if they get overwhelmed early and it's over by half. That's happened several times already this year when teams get down against EC and try to throw, which plays right into EC's strength.
If Kelly and EC were to play (won't happen of course), I think Kelly might be the favorite. Heck, I might even pick them to win. But to say, hands down, they would "beat up" on EC is a ludicrous. EC is 17-1 over the last 2 years playing similar competition.
I realize this is just one way of looking at it but... If a team is undefeated, say EC at 5-0, that means they put 5 losses in the L column of their opponents. Without those losses their combined record would be 10-6. While a winless team put 5 wins on their opponents records. Just a thought.
"...when l-towns jv beat there varsity 48-6" The way I read this is Lumberton's JV beat Lumberton's Varsity, which doesn't surpise me. Maybe they played after the 10th game so they could finaly say they're in the 'Post Season'.
Not bad. Looks like benefits you would receive at most medium to large corporations in the private sector, with one exception. A degreed professional with 20 years experience you would put a 1 in front of the 50,000. I like the idea of the shorts to work though.
OK, you got me. Seven weeks vacation and another at Christmas. I suspect if you ask most people they'll tell you about the long hours and other demands of their chosen profession. For the most part coaching is seasonal and the payback is the vacation time. Nothing wrong with that. And you're right about the 12 hour shift. Sounds like a sweet deal.
Nope, wouldn't do it. Couldn't afford the pay cut. I would enjoy the extra time off though. I'm sure coaches put in allot of time before and during the season but most are also teachers. That 3 month break and time off during Christmas more than makes up for it.
Year in year out, when I look for the best player at each position, Lumberton is always the first place I check out. Why do you think they are undefeated in the playoffs?
