1. I would SOOO love to see wo-s vs lm next week. But I think either way wo-s will get a solid opponent to probably shutout again.... ;)
 2. Let's go Big Ned!! Represent the Golden Triangle!!!
 3. Ozen, when they play with max effort, will frustrate any team in the state. Yates is still a top tier program and the Panthers showed they could hang with and beat teams of that caliber. I think it's an awesome idea to play a powerhouse team early. Let's see what we're made of. The playoffs will be just as grueling after the 3rd round or so. We'll be good and ready come that time....
Are you suggesting that maybe some of the Central kids need to transfer to Ozen?  8)
It pains me to day this, but he would have been better of at Ozen or West Brook.  Smh.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he would have certainly shined brightly at Ozen and we would also STILL be playing this week, BUT sadly he was a Jag and one that I enjoyed competing against these last few years. I look forward to seeing him at the next level, hopefully as a QB under a GOOD QB coach at a great school!!
 5. Actually they've made the playoffs b4 out of 19-4A. They lost to Central in the second round a few years ago when Central went to the fourth round of the playoffs.
 6.

So much for Crosby walking all over Ozen. Not impressed ::)
actually it could have been a walk over, but the coaches were calling crazy plays. I was at the game.....and I know Tony Brown is highly recruited, but he wasn't playing like this was a playoff game
I can just about promise you it would have NEVER been a walk over and the playcalling had nothing to do with it. Once our D adjusted to wut the cougs were doing it was lights out until the td late in the 4th. Tony Brown dislocated his shoulder early in the ballgame and came back and played with extreme pain, :-[ forcing that fumble in the redzone by crosby's qb. Our Offense didn't help our D out. and btw we made an adjustment too with the wildcat form that yielded a td and 2pt conv. Sadly it was from the same form we fumbled in overtime. This was Texas playoff football at it's finest. ;D Good defense, hard hits, big plays, and a great finish. Congrats on the "W" Crosby. Now go do something with it next week. PS-I saw Summer Creek and they looked really good against a really slow Vidor secondary. ::) Not taking anything away from them, but I would love to catch them in a later round matchup with a team that matches them speed for speed and blow for blow. I did love their intensity and quickness. Speed does kill when u use it right!!
 7.
Crosby wins this one. Better overall team. 35-21
So was barbers hill AND brenham last yr. New year.....same results. Ozen wins!! Boom ;)
 8. Ozen by 4pts in a thriller.  ;)
 9. Ozen will win this one easily. Panthers are grooming new Jr Qb for next season and dude is a stud. Look for a good game out of him. But hoping for an injury free game for both teams!! Go Panthers!!!!
 10.

Ned-35, Cen-20. Vid-37, lcm-13. Ozen goes at least 4 rounds this year with new qb starting.....Boom.
Good Luck Panthers!!!!
Thanks!! We're looking for another great run this yr too!! Go Big Ned & Vidor!!!
 11. Ned-35, Cen-20. Vid-37, lcm-13. Ozen goes at least 4 rounds this year with new qb starting.....Boom.

We want dinner at Jody Leigh's if we do it for you again...
Lol I won't make it to LCM cuz I'll be at the Butch but I'll be logged in on here.
What a love affair we have...
Wouldn't want it any other way. Two of the classiest coaches and programs around and always a great hard fought game with you guys. Now go out and "hook us up" again!!! lol ;D
 13. I'll say this....IF Ozen makes the playoffs, expect them to go past the first round again. They switched QB's (finally) to the Jr QB Javarris Curl and he is a PLAYMAKER!!!! The Panthers played inspired ball last night yall. Look for another great run this yr should we make it. Let's go Jags!!!
 14. Your "good buddies" from Fannett Rd are rooting strong for you tonight!!  ;)
 15.
These refs need to go back to school and learn their downs!!
Sounds like yall had the refs we had when we went out there earlier this year.....STRAIGHT GARBAGE!!!
 16.
so, Ozen won and their last game is against LR(THEY SHOULD WIN) finishing 3-4 if central wins against lc-m and then loses to ned(likely) they finish 3-4 with an lc-m loss to central and then vidor, they finish 3-4. points go to Ozen, right? which means a central V doesn't mean anything without an Ozen loss. LC-M is win and in. they are the only ones that control their destiny. correct me if i'm wrong.
That's what I was thinking too. Ozen is NOT completely eliminated and needs help from Central tonight and Ned and Vid next week. We still have a shot!!
Well, really Ozen is a good team but I still believe the best team won, and the calls by the ref's did not determine the game in anyway. This crew was not a good working crew, but nothing they call affected the outcome of the game. They just turn a 2 hour game into a 3 hour game that's all they really did.
Are you serious they called back a 45 yard gain by ozen that had the panthers in scoring position to tie the game up in the 4th qtr, there was not a flag on the field, or never a flag thrown to explain their actions... all we saw from the stands was the livingston coach yelling and screaming and then there was a meeting for 5 mins and then the ball was not only moved back 15 the first time but picked up again and then it was as if they played the initial down over, but that normally follows a flag which was never thrown seen or justified
I recall that play as well, the call was that the ref had not blown the whistle for the ball to be in play when you team snapped the ball. So yes I'm serious, as I said before, this was the slowest crew I have ever seen, all they did was hold up the game and frustrated me, but you do have to wait until the ref blows the whistle after the clock has stopped. I had no problem with the call because it was the right call but to hold up the game for 20 minutes was crazy.
Actually you're wrong. I heard that the ref (for no reason whatsoever) blew the whistle early and the defense stopped and that's why the play was a big run. Problem is the refs didnt blow the whistle, maybe the people in the stands who we're blowing whistles all night did it, and the defense didnt stop pursuing the play AT ALL. Secondly, how come the coach can act all animated and talk directly to the refs. Now I don't like to blame refs for bad calls either because there are more than one plays in a game, however this play was worse than the Packers vs Seahawks controversial call. A game changer.
Agreed TOTALLY!!!! I was there also on the sideline. It was one of the most HORRIBLE experiences I've ever had at a hsfb game. The livingston coach was yelling at the ref, red in face, 10-15yds from the sideline on the field. The 45yd "wipeout" was extremely timely also. An inadvertent whistle?? Then livingston at the least should've penalized seeing that the whistle came from their sideline. Smh..congrats to the lions on ur.....win. This is an experience I will NEVER 4get.
 18. Ozen's defense is better than you think they are and the comment about Ozen being "undisciplined" in the past has nothing to do with the team vidor will see friday. It's gonna come down to play calling. Both offenses are different but effective. The stephenville game was a BAD reflection of who the Panthers truly are and we are NOT santa fe. We'll have well more than 24yds of offense by the time the clock hits zero. And yes we ARE VERY FAST EVERYWHERE but we are more than just "undisciplined speed"!!!! Sooner or later that "speed" will breakthrough though. That being said....we have MUCH respect for the pirates and we expect no less than their "A" game friday night. ;)

No team has yet to score half of that yet.
That's what Ned's big bad "D" said last year... ::)
 20.
You  have to have much respect , for a class act when a coach and team win a game, when they were already in the playoffs, that helps your team make the playoffs. That's where the renewed friendly rivalry comes from. go panthers !!
I second that..... ;)
 21.
stop jakobi jones and you beat ozen! take away or be ready for screens to him. also #2 is a speedy guy too(christein michaels little brother). As a Vidor fan I can see Ozen beating the Pirates.....no doubt.
Ozen is a great team no doubt but look what happened the last two times they met a great defense, aka pam and stephenville, they got held to 14 and 6 points. They can be contained and the pirates will contain them.
I can tell you that pam had, for about 3 qtrs, all they wanted with ozen and the stephenville game was not our best effort. Yes we lost to them but the same level of intensity we showed last friday did not make the trip with us to dallas. We'll be MORE than ready for vidor. It's a new season, we're 1-0 and more mature than last year. Should be a fun game though....
 23. Appreciate y'all helping us out last year getting into the playoffs. As you could see, we certainly knew what to do with it!! Had lots of fun visiting Pirate Stadium that night against Livingston in Vidor last year. We felt VERY welcome!! ;D That being said......we're certainly looking forward to seeing "'Q' and the gang" at the "Butch" friday night. Should be another classic like last year's game!!! ;) FYI: Some key players from the Pirate and Panther football teams joined together for workouts over the summer at least twice. Once at each team's weight room, tearing down stereotypes, prejudice, and ignorance along the way!!! #BOOM ;)
