1. I saw Cameron play Marion in a second round game in Buda during Thanksgiving.  Although they looked good and won that game by about 35, I still am surprised they beat Newton and are handling Daingerfield in the Championship.
 2. Some of these small town kids are really good!!  Looks like TCU is combing the bushes for talent.  They have done really well with these smaller school kids!!

Aggies have excelled with his offense because Johnny is that good. All these recruits coming in are doing so because of the excitement of playing in the SEC and the wins the AGGIES posted up. Just wait till  they get the wrecking crew in line.
Is Johnny that good or is Sumlin? Keenum's passing numbers dwarfs Manziel's. If A&M went 6-6 in the SEC Sumlin wouldn't be flipping all these guys. Besides Joekel and Matthews there weren't any stars on A&M's roster before he got there. Only kid besides those two A&M had committed that was a high school blue chipper is Trey Williams, Evans was a basketball player. It's clear Sumlin is a better coach than Sherman was but the real reason he's going to start dominating the recruiting in Texas is because the African-American parents in the state are excited to have a school to send their kids to that has an African-American head coach. Same reason the minorities vote in a landslide for Obama, doesn't make it right but that's just how it is.
Yeah it is a good thing that Saban is African American too don't you think!
It's the state school in Alabama, just like Texas is. Gene Stallings recruited the south just like Saban does and won a national title. Most of those kids were coming anyway. You give a great coach great talent and that's what he does. A run of the mill coach can also win with great talent, Larry Coker and Lane Kiffin for example. When those coaches don't get the best talent anymore they get exposed like Mack Brown is, on the other hand you take Sumlin from UH and they're a joke. Look at the commitment dates UT players have on profile, most are before April or May of their junior year's with a large portion of them being in February or April. UT has been a dream for the majorty of these kids. Why all of a sudden can A&M get some of the best players in the state, the move to the SEC? No! It's because when Kevin Sumlin talks to an inner city kid's Mom like Justin Manning he tells her, "Look, I'm from South Alabama and was once like your son. I understand what he's going through/will go through. Send him to me and I'll take care of him." It's all about getting recruits, that's why Tubberville just left Lubbock for Cinci.
I am on record in a post on here somewhere that the 2 biggest change agents for A&M success is Sumlin and Manziel.  I don't discount your proposition about Sumlin's playing the racial issue to his success.  But if "EVERYTHING" in our culture is about race, then we are doomed to an ever widening schism of racial turmoil and chaos that will be "one" of the factors in the downfall of this country!

 5.
Lubbock is 3x size of Jonesboro and way out on its own. Lubbock is the Media capital of the panhandle (that sounds funny). Baylor is a Legacy so Waco gets a pass.
Those are legacy issues.  They will not let the smaller schools moving up in from the small markets.

" That's only half of it.  Some are talking about Arkansas State  and the Big 12 in the same sentence, as in moving to the B12 conference.  Now "that" is hilarious!
One of the most laughable scenarios I have heard.  Give the Ark State fans credit for reaching for the stars, but the BIG 12 will not inhabit Jonesboro Ark, just like they wont with Beaumont TX!
 7.
My understanding is that Rice and Reliant are booked for this weekend which are the only two large venues GT's coach was willing to use. He wants to play on turf from what I hear. Big or small, I am confident that Nederland fans (and surrounding supporters!) will make it a hostile environment! GO DOGS!!!!!
Should have tried for Provost Umphrey.  You could get 20k SRO for the game and a short drive to boot!!
 8. After reading about the officiating at the game last night, if I was Neuman I would get the game out of Houston if at all possible if Angleton wins.  Play them at LU (better to play in a real nice but smaller venue than in a big time venue against hostile officials) or at Kyle but not with Houston officials.  Or agree to play them in Houston only if you can bring a SE Tx officiating crew!
 9. From start of the game from flipping off the nederland fans, late hits, punches being thrown, helmets throwing around, a player thrown out of the game, #1 and other players taunting after they tied it up, and after nederland ran out on the field for the win #1 tried to go fight players and was escorted out by 2 coaches. then during the handshake several of there players just stayed on the sideline or just walked and didnt congratulate nederland on the win, to there coaches chest bumping with our coaches, to one of there players being escorted out by police they have to be ranked as dirtiest team in houston if not in the state. Ohhh Well BULLDOGS WIN!!!!  8) 8)
...and that's all that really matters...It's gonna be a long, long winter coach wells...and the memories of tonight's game will be with ya the entire time!
Are you sure you guys didn't play LaMarque!!  That is exactly what Lumberton experienced against the LM Coogs when the Raiders beat them back in 2007!!  Congrats to the Dog's!!  SE Texas could use a team in the larger classes to make some real noise in the playoffs!  We've been down for too long!!
 10. This is a good thing to get some out of the area schools to come to Bmt.  I like it!!

 14. Coaching at any level is not easy.  I think he is a good coach. Hopefully he will find success elsewhere.
 15. 45-7???  That is good ole fashioned asswhoopin there Broncs.  You guys haven't been manhandled in awhile.  I am sure it is a shock to your systems!!
 16. Talked with a LaPorte fan who will be at the game tonight.  He said LP has a 10 pt tiebreaker advantage for the #1 seed.  He feels pretty confident LP will win based on both teams performance agains NS and each teams strengths compared to their weeknesses.  Just passing along what you would expect from a LP fan.

Since the upgrades both the home and visitor side are nice and seat a respectable amount. The restrooms and concessions are excellent. Until Nederland does something with their facilities and PNG can make more room on the visitor side to walk, I think Lumberton edges them out!
Lumberton is not even in the same zip code.
If it had turf and a video scoreboard it would move into a superior zip code!!

I posted this on the site: Lamar Football is Golden in the Triangle I just read your review and am very disappointed. You obviously did not research much before you wrote your review. I question your motives to write such a report. If you expect your site to be used by quality people, your reports need to be truth-worthy and complete. I could go on, but it is not worth my time. I could not recommend your site to anyone
I feel pretty much the same as you.  The stadium review was fair.  The review of the area was written by a SHSU fan and given to Donaldson who just reprinted their slander!!

I understand they turned in a laundry list of things that the coach has done wrong. The 2 people I know that have knowledge of this say it is all about a mom and dad wanting their son starting........just so you know, the coaches son is the starting QB and better than the kid that thinks he should be starting.
yep this is a trend with this generation of parents.....complain until your kid starts, esp at qb because it seems to work for some. coach will bounce back, i'd get a legal representative if i were him...don't take this from parents. they need to learn  lessons, like patience and respect
Pop Warner parent mentality!!!
 20. I would sure have to watch the game with the coaches for them to show me how our O-line didn't get physcially whipped!!  The game I watched on TV showed that we could not move an inch the Hawaii D-line nor hold them out of our backfield!  I will say that the defense was not physically whipped, but the Offense was!!!

I guarantee it would be called Thomas High. I do have to admit, Dr.Thomas has done quite a lot for BISD.
It's not my business, but why in the world does Beaumont need ANOTHER high school?  First, they can't seem to finish construction on the three that they have.  Secondly, are they expecting a great influx of population?  Just askin'.
WB is a sardine can. It needs to be expanded or a 4th high school. Beaumont was better off with 4 high schools in French, South Park, BCP, and WB. Beaumont needs to get back to that model. 24. The offense is not even a good FCS level program!!!  The defense however is vastly improved and is playing very credible against a FBS program.  Defense only allowed 2 FG's in spite of a totally inept offense who is handing Hawaii the ball in our own territory.
