1. Good post AJ25!!!
 2.

I suspect SEL will be our last win this season, with Nicholls and SFA potentially being competive.  Need more size at defensive back and running back and more speed on the line.  Potential Good News is basketball is around the corner.
we finally have football and you are wishing for basketball? I think we--coaching allowed-can hang with Cen ark, SEL, SFA possibly (they are laying an egg)--not predicitng win or lose..just competing well i am worried Slam will hang 60 on us.......
At this point, that could be a possibility.  They will grind us if they can.  I am still hopefull, but not as enthusiastic as I was at the beginning of last season.  We need a healthy JJ and Marcus Jackson to be competitive in the SLC.  Also Barry Ford and Josh Powdrill did not play last night.  We are definately hurting at the WR position.
 3. Just a little over the top puddin.  I would say that our offensive scheme was not as well thought out as NWST.  They ran a myriad of plays designed to get 5-15 yards a pop.  They wore down our defense in the 2nd qtr.  We came out strong in the 3rd but we are not a good red zone offensive team,  Bevil for sure is not up to the task when we are playing stonger oppostion, although he was not horrible.  The last intercepion was not really his fault.  He still wants to throw the home run ball too much.  We don't use our TE's enough or run enough possesion routes.  Defense is spotty, and we are soft in the secondary.  My gut continues to nag at me that our biggest problem is game preparation, personnel management and decision making during a game.
Hanna starting in the backfield today...wish Cody had held his water.  He'd be getting that playing time he desired so much.
Where do you get that?  He was just running reps so if he was needed in the backfield he could be used.
Are you going to the game?  Look for #24.
I'll be there.  But answer the question.  How do you know that he is starting as RB?

Wow tell us how you really feel. Why do you think that?
Just remember....Karma's a B buddy.  Get used to everyone outside of mid county routing against you purple thugs.  Even in the playoffs.
Obviously. Look at yours. ;D PN-G wanted this game badly. Our second string ran the ball non-stop and was still able to put points on the board. That doesn't make PN-G classless, it just means the Indians were all around the better team. Congrats, Indians, and good luck, Raiders. On another note, I don't think PN-G needs to assume it's going to "slap" anybody. Yes, we handed Lumberton a blowout. Lumberton's given LC-M and Vidor some very competitive games, but that doesn't translate to an automatic win for the Indians. Remember, Vidor only lost to Nederland by three points and Ned just beat Livingston. Granted, there are a couple rivalry games in there, so scores aren't as telling as they normally are, but that's still proof that we shouldn't be counting unhatched chickens. I'm almost positive our coaching staff isn't; I just hope our players aren't, either.
Lets see, Crosby, Livingston, Nederland.  Not use to losing games to these foes, although Ned's fans would disagree with me.
We lost to a well-armed Crosby by one point and Nederland by three against what is almost undoubtedly the best defense in the district. Our only big loss was to the offensive powerhouse that is Livingston, and even the Livingston fans will tell you that the game was closer than the score indicates (we matched them point for point until the fourth quarter). We've taken some hard knocks, but we haven't been slapped around.
Is the glass half full or half empty?

 8. Looks to me after being slapped around so far this season PNG tried to make themselves feel good by running up the score on an outmanned and injured team.  Don't think this will be the turnaround they think it is.
Earned District 20-4A Offensive MVP honors as a running back as a senior ... Rushed for 2,325 career yards on 290 carries with 34 touchdowns to earn all-state honors
That's 8 yds/carry in district 20 4A
 10. Watched most of a 2 hr story last night that was mostly on Steve Bartman, the infamous fan who tried to catch what appeared to be a foul ball in game 6 of the 2003 NL series with the Florida Marlins.  It also talked about Bill Buckner.  The name of the program escapes me but it had "Hell" int he title.  I watched that game live.  I will never forget the treatment of Bartman by the fans and their is a lot of behind the scenes info of what happened afterward.  The guy is a total recluse still.  I think it is one of the most tragic stories in sports where someone didn't die.  The Cubs organization and the fans of Chicago should do something to free this guy from his self imposed exile.  It is the most ridiculous treatment of a person in sports that I have ever witnessed.  He did not lose the game for Chicago.  JMHO!!!
 11. We will see how the coaching staff and the rest of the team responds.  Good teams step up in situations like this. I expect Anthony Beard to step up as well.
 12.
PN-G 42 Slumberton 28
Yeah that is right, Lumberton is growing, Port Neches is declining but Lumberton is the slum town.  That said too little numbers and too many injuries for me to boldly predict a Lumberton win.  I can only hope.  It is a good thing to be a PNG fan.  You always believe they will win the game.
 13. If Bevil finds consistency the rest of the schedule and they perform as a team like today, then I will eat crow on my previous posts on both Woodard and Bevil.
 14. Well looks like the Raiders are going to go 0-10 but make every game fun and close.
 15. Will need to put somone on suicide watch for Bmt Soulja!  ;D

Whether you or others believe it or not, I and others (probably more than you think) (not necessarily on here) feel it is a more than "minor" problem. I truely believe it is affecting attendance, WHICH IS THE NAME OF THIS THREAD. ;)
My take is the biggest things that are affecting attendance is the quality of the opponent and the personnel decisions, but not the ones you believe are the issue!
I agree, but it's the trend that seems to be present....BAD DECISIONS, whether it be the ones YOU or YA'LL believe it to be or what I or WE believe it to be. I never said "my" reasoning is the ONLY reason. Nonetheless, you are correct. The quality of opponent will take care of itself in time, and IF the other problems are resolved, the other problems won't be present, the "bad decision makers" will also be eliminated, therefore in time more and more of us will become happier and more supportive. With that said, regardless of who is making decisons, there will always be "some" who will disagree with decisions and be disapointed.
I couldn't agree more with your last statement!  I can't seem to make anybody happy myself.  I think I am going to lay low, go to the games I can, and support the University.  Everything else is out of my hands and will be decided without my input.

 18. I am not sure, but I would think that this is the least amount of teams ranked/receiving votes from the Golden Triangle in my lifetime.  We definately are down on talent (as whole) on the playing field and on the sidelines compared to the rest of the state.  I think we are getting left behind.  JMHO!!!!
 19. NO!!!  Depth is the biggest problem.  Losing two 3 year starters for the season didn't help.  They are scrappy and that showed in last nights game.
Updating the website now.  I went 5 out of 8 this week, I have done worse. What do you guys think the biggest upset is in 4A? Lee over Crosby Ozen over Central or Barbers Hill over Dayton (to me not so much of an upset as both teams were more evenly matched). Lee over Crosby is my choice.
I wasn't talking about your overall, but your prediction of a blowout by Dayton over BH!
 21.

BR360 did I  mention I am not working so keep making those paychecks, I like your spunk but you are no contest in athletics trust me.  Tell  your bro I have not forgotten about trying to get him some equipment and will continue to try and help them out.
I'll put you up against my brother any day of the week and twice on Sunday. He just turned 40 and can still bench over 300 lbs and in the spring was timed 4.7 in the forty on grass. At his birthday party Coach Williams (former LC-M head coach) told a story about my brother knocking out the TE for the other team (TE was 6'2, 230 lbs). As for me, I'm sure you were much better. I do like looking at my paychecks, my retirement and bank account. Then I can't ask for a better schedule as I work 3, 12 hrs shift a week for being full-time. There aren't too many people have 4 days off a week. I know the schedule of a high school coach and they put in 60-70 hrs a week during the season.  ;) I'll deliver the message as in his position he can't really post on message boards. He has kids from BC, Vidor, Vinton, WO-S and LC-M who attend his church. If he posted he could easily hurt someone's feelings. However, he has and does view the site from time to time.
If your brother was timed in 4.7 in the 40 at 40 years old, he is faster still than Lamars starting running back.
 22. I wasn't at the game, but looking at the Box Score in the Chronicle and Lumberton spanked LCM's tail all over the field, but the score sure doesn't show that.
 23. Well Toups, you took that prediction in the shorts!!!!
 24.
The hill sucks just playing on emotions from the last years lost. Dayton wins in the end.
Man is it going to be a long miserable night in Dayton tonight!
 25. Can somebody say the "Hill is for Real"!!!!
