Averaged aroung 12-13 RPG Good pitching from Stampley, Hanley, Smith(complete game), Sanderson (complete game), and Sampere Nederland now 7-0 playing in PNG JV Tounament this week. Fair can be defined as the equal enforcement of the established rules. ie... draft procedures, expansion draft procedures, contraction draft procedures, registration procedures, weight limits, sportmanship, and others... STJFL has many rules that are for the kids. Some make sense, some don't. The weight limits and changes to them are looked at every year by the STJFL Board. In general thay do a good job in deciding what is the best for all. There are some rules they have that do not make any sense at all. Like 12 year olds may only play if they are not in the seventh grade. A 12 year old is twelve whether he is in the sixth, seventh, fifth, or eighth grade. Maybe STJFL should modify their rule to allow all 12 year olds to play unless they are playing 7th grade football? ??? What about the older/lighter rule. This does not make any sense. I would love to see STJFL send more representative to the league registrations, drafts, and do more enforcement of the rules. After Hurricane Rita, teams that couldn't be fielded were allowed to contract; however, although they finished playing the season, all games were forfieted and they did not make the playoffs. this was not done after Ike. Is this fair to the other teams that remained whole. ??? ??? ???

Non-division games count if you have uneven number of divisions... ie widcard teams in the playoffs.

Im not sure Bulldog1985. But I guess you're right. Is that how its done in uil also if there is a tie? Do they go from district or conference record to points allowed? Bulldog1085 is correct. With no wildcards spots, non-division games do not count. Does not matter what UIL does, STJFL has there playoff qualifications. Maybe WOS White just gave up too many points.

Sheffield Productions has been booked to tape both 1st round play-offs and the Superbowl at Bulldog Stadium. Just like last season; use of Bulldog's big screen video board has been approved and DVDs will be sold and made that day. Sheffield Productions experienced multi-camera crew and multi-view replay capabilities along with anouncers Charlie Jehlen and Danny Bellow will be on hand to do the honors. Last year's Superbowl was a fun experience for all and we are pleased that STJFL has asked us back. Good luck to all players still in the play-offs . . . "see ya at Jerry Mallory Field ( Bulldog stadium) ". The way I understand, the video will only be availble for games played at Bulldog Stadium.

DD are you sure. I've seen all the games this year, and it sure didn't look like the same team to me ??? ??? What is going on......scored on the first three plays from scrimmage ??? ??? and had two touchdowns called back..... and played second team in the second half.........

I heard a rumor that some Gustav evacuee's may be in town. Just a rumor, but I heard they're staying at Couron's, until they can get permanent residents established.

STJFL has no rules on this; however, I have been trying for years to make it mandatory for the host teams to provide water coolers, ice , and water for the visiting teams. A team should not have to haul water in from out of town. It wouldn't cost the host teams more than $10 a weekend if you factor in the cost of the coolers. Just my $0.02 worth.

Our SR team has played WOS Blue and scrimmaged against SR Black. I would not bet anything that I cherished on WOS this weekend. ;D It should be a great game but gotta go with Nederland in this one. 8) 8)

Wow. bitter much? I agree, really bitter. Something must have happened in order for you to be full of so much hate! Hmmmmmmm....... ??? ??? ??? What happened? Well, I think ALL Nederland fans know what happened in the fall of 1984. Nederland snapped the 19 year drought against PN-G. I guess this 1985 graduate suffered so much trauma watching the Bulldogs beat the Indians for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE his senior year, he turned Benedict Arnold and switched sides. IMO.... Nederland and PN-G are like comparing A&M and UT. A&M might beat UT evey now and then, like the last couple of years, but what do they do in the big games..... Heck, Nederland even has the same fight song as A&M. Compared to the tradition, # of wins, # of playoff wins, attendance records, no wonder the Bulldogs are filled with envy. At least PN-G has played in the State championship in the last 20 years and doesn't have to go back over a half century to say they won a state championship. In summary... Nederland is a wanna be PN-G. But in the end.... When all is said and done... It is one big family. If Nederland is the last team playing in the playoffs, there will be plenty of PN-G fans in the stands rooting for the Bulldogs, just as there was when PN-G was playing the state game in the dome not too long ago. How long has it been since png won state? ??? How far has png gone in the playoffs recently? ??? Seems to me that png is alot more like A&M than big ned. It is not a big family. I do not like png. Not because of who they are but more because of the way they act.

The new schedule is out. Do not know when it will be posted. Some changes are that BC will not host any games. Some game times have been moved earlier because of darkness and no lights at some fields. ;D ;D ;D ;D
