INTRASQUAD SCRIMMAGES ARE LEGAL! ANYTIME! I KNOW THIS and never said differently. I am sorry I brought it up good luck on the intrasquad, I never knew it would get to this!Sorry! Just so they don't put on pads before Saturday there is no harm, OK? LOL. That's what we said, dude!!!! We specifically said that they would not be putting pads on until Saturday! Too funny!

No offense, but you named WOS specifically in your statement with other schools as if to say they would be doing something illegal. Then you posted your phone number after hearing that WOS would be intrasquad scrimmaging on Saturday.

Maybe unusual for you but not illegal.

Lemme see, Fish. Monday is one day. Wednesday is day two. Thursday is day three. Friday is day four. That's right...it will have been four days before WOS puts on pads and has contact with one another. But you wouldn't know that, would you?

Looks like 3 on 3 will not be until Sat around noon, from what I was told. Can't work out in pads til Saturday because of the missed day.

No offense, Hawk, but I don't think anyone underestimates HJ. I think they call it like they see it. It doesn't matter how many people you have back on your team. They have to be able to play the game in order to contend. There would have to be some major changes from last year to this year (other than the number of players) for HJ to win the district in 21-3A.

Looks like the game may have to be played on Sat morning anyway. Teacher in-service on Friday morning as well as other UIL rules about when the first scrimmage can be after putting on pads (since a day was missed due to Eduard). Wait and see....

Exactly! But you know there are going to be some parents that wanna buck the system and prove that "noone is gonna tell me when to take my vacation" kind of thing. Not saying that's what happened with any of the players that missed Monday's practice.....just saying that it does happen.

I heard it was a vacation thing. Am wondering why you would schedule vacation when you know exactly what day two a days start. I'm sure coaches are questioning his commitment! We'll see.

You wouldn't opt for it. I was saying "What do you call a Mustang football player that doesn't show up for practice?" The answer is you call him a Bear. Apparently my attempt at humor was over looked or maybe just enjoyed by me. Either way it was a joke. I thought it was funny!!!! I understood it, too!!!! LOL.

They did cancel. Superintendant made the call and closed the entire district. Told coaches no buses and no practices!!!! They wanted to close at noon today but let them have the late practice.

WOS has never had a Friday morning scrimmage.

With the type of finesse offenses (spread offenses) that they have today, you better teach mental and physical toughness on the defensive side of the ball. You better be above average.

Nobody scrimmages on a weekday in the mornings. Just doesn't make sense. I heard Coach Hooks just talked to Coach Stewart on Friday and it was understood that the scrimmage in on Saturday morning!

SETX: I think YOUR contact should call WOS field house and verify that. WOS coaches think the scrimmage is on Saturday, not Friday!
