Huffman up 12-6. Huffman is not completing passes and QB runs are lighting up LV. LV has had some great catches but 2 ugly interceptions. 1st half ended on a penalty. LV receiver is running on the sideline trying to get clear, HH defender behind about 5 yards is just blindsided by an LV player while he was looking at the ball carrier. Flags fly. Half ends. Coaches on the field talking to refs. They are fuming. Not sure why the LV coach was mad. I think the HH coaches expected an ejection.

y’all seen this? Go back and learn the history of Coffeetown football. It’s worth it. Especially Toddler Moss.

#7 was moving the ball. Well. He was running behind a lead block and, at full speed, reached out, grabbed the blockers jersey in front of him and yanked him to the left to redirect him. It was awesome. Hope he makes it back soon.

I don’t know why they can’t get that right. I would think the clock guy needs to watch one ref and run the clock off of his direction. The refs made sure they put time back on but also gave Vidor an extra second here and there. Vidor tried to play uptempo that last possession. But they don’t look like that is something they practice or do regularly. Also, every play has 10 offensive players in a heap, the ball needs to be retrieved and set. The offense sets in a rush to the line then snap. It’s like a rhythm thing. But when they are waiting for the ref to set the ball, and get out of the way, it looked awkward. I am pretty sure the center was frustrated and the coaches too. Game was getting away from the refs at that point and they were trying to reign it in a little without affecting the outcome. Not a great job. Again.

We had our injury bug earlier this year. Horrible experience. Prayers up for all those boys. Vidor plays tough. Every year

He did way more than that. He rushed up to the ball 3-4 times when the refs were trying to fix the clock.

13-7 Huffman at the half. 2 interceptions for HH. One for Vidor that was retuned 60 yards. Huffman scored to take the lead but the PAT was blocked. #7 for Vidor was looking great. Limped off in the 1st and is now on crutches. That stinks. huffman came to play tonight. Couple mistakes but they are blocking well. Vidor is getting yards but missed a FG and got stuffed trying to convert a 4th down. Couple bad false start penalties.

Good crowd tonight for Vidor. 90% full at the runout. Probably be full by kickoff. love seeing travel crowds supporting their kids.

I usually have time to do a way too long post before these games but work has reared its ugly head. If Huffman comes to play, the way that they can play, the way they have played a few times this year, then the Falcons can win this game. Falcons did not look right for both losses this year. They certainly looked the part against Splendora but that could be fools gold. Splendora is not having a good season. Vidor doesn't have that issue. One of the reasons I love that offense is that it doesn't tolerate kids that aren't putting in effort. The Pirates look prepared week in and week out. For the games that I have seen. DCTF is predicted Vidor by 3. Calpreps is 28-21 for Vidor, on a neutral field. You would think it would be 14 or more by the chatter here and on the Friday football app.

Its not great for the visitor side similar to Splendora I think?

Halfback pass for TD at Splendora. some impressive Trap action that hasn’t been used a lot but very productive (not really tomfoolery. More of a shenanigan IMO) Double tight end at times. They have passed out of it. Couple TDs. Not a standard formation for HH.

21-0 Huffman leading at the end of the 1st. Huffman is executing and playing with some energy that was missing the last 2 weeks. Splendora isn’t executing well but HH isn’t playing down to them.
