This is an insult to Scott Surratt to think he couldn't do at PNG what he did at Carthage. The fact of the matter, if you haven't noticed, he went to Carthage and did exactly what you said he can't do at PNG. He had a "comparable" classification he had to deal with. For 84 years and 20 coaches, Carthage NEVER won a State Championship. Surratt comes in and after 1 year, he wins 3 in a row. I'll ask again -- after 84 years, did the talent just show up when he got there??!! Not even you can believe that! There's no doubt in my mind that Surratt would bring a State Title to PNG sooner rather than later!

One must ask oneself: As of this post, there are 10 6A jobs open. So, why did he make a "side ways" move to a 5-A school? Maybe it was because, oh never mind!

If you came up with this list, I applaud your tenacity! But, right off the bat I saw many that were wrong. So, I figured you might not understand what mean when I say 7 years. I'm talking about at a specific school. Not when they start being a HC. I don't care if other taxpayers in other districts have low expectations of their coaches. I just expect what a coach expects at the beginning of every football season. Plus -- maybe what they promised in an interview to get the job. Sure, I would have missed some of these coaches future Titles. But, the overall odds would be in my favor.

I stand corrected. I forgot they got beat by Aledo for the State Title. I'll state again, it's not about the talent. I'll ask you -- have you ever seen a less talented team beat a more talented team? I have! As for as Westerberg, I think he had them headed in the right direction. And given a little more time I think it would have happened. But, that's my opinion.

One thing about it, if Art Briles is hired -- this would be about as close to a chance of a State Championship as one is going to get. Again -- there are no guarantees. But, within 7 years, I'd put it the 90% range. What in his pass would make one think otherwise?!

Again -- no State Title appearances and no State Titles. There's something wrong here! Are you going to tell us that through all his years there he NEVER had the talent to win a State Title?! I for one not believing it! But, you've stated 3 coaches that know how to win State Championships. As for as the Superintendant -- again, it's where you set the bar! If the fan base is happy not ever winning a State Championship, then more power to them!
