  2. Most coaches on this situation already have in mind who they want as OC and DC. I’m sure he already has commitments. Question is when will they be known!
  3. I’ve got a come back but I’m gonna stay silent! 😏😁
  4. I kind of figured Neumann didn’t want any part of the TJ job.
  5. You are some-what correct and some-what not. Owens was RT's DC. I can say with 100% certitude that RT called the plays both at Vidor and at TJ when Derouen was there. Neumann was HC at Nederland when Owens left in '95. Doesn't mean he didn't apply. Not sure. Larry Walker got the TJ job when Owens left. Then Marler got it. It is my understanding that Owens gave Neumann his first high school job. I do know he was the secondary coach. I believe, for the first 7 years, Jay Law was TJ's DC. Law left for Vidor in 1989. I also know that Neumann was in the Houston area for 1 or 2 years before he got Ned's HC job. So, that would leave 2 or three years at TJ after Law left. Was he the DC during that time? No sure. But, again, for historical accuracy, I'll try and find out.

  7. I understand that Barrow called him and warned it about that. He said he knows it from first hand experience! (Grin)
  8. If Rich wasn't Katy's OC, does anyone know who is?
  9. Looking back and playing off memory: Under Ethridge, Butch Troy was the o-line coach. Now, under K. Watson was he a coordinator? S. Derouren, under R. Thompson, Thompson called the plays. Not sure if he was ever a coordinator. He did go back to TJ after Nederland but M. Owens called the plays. Now, lets looks at Neumann: He coached at TJ and was the secondary coach. Did he ever coordinate there? Well, come to think about it, I can ask someone that was on staff at the time. Now, a year or two before he got the Nederland job, he went to, I beleive, Pasadena. Or somewhere in that direction. Was he a coordinator there? Not sure about that last part. Bridge City hired the receivers coach from Westlake. Which on the surface wasn't a bad idea. I'm sure there's more that I can't think of at this time.
  10. I believe he was the special teams coach at SLC.
  11. Looks like he's going to be a good one. He knows what Dodge knows and he knows what Dodge does. Now, the interesting question is: Will he have the Katy philosophy on offense or will he run the Spread?! Personally, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him have an under the center pro style offence (Katy's) and run #1 until his tongue is hanging out! Going to be interesting to watch this play out! Also, my guess is that he'll have spring training.
  12. Didn’t he get the memo that Nederland has an A rating?! 😏😁
  13. An Assault on the American Conscience! [Hidden Content] @AggiesAreWe Fake news?
  14. Let's look back before Neumann got there. Nederland was really bad. No buy in from players or community. Then for 19 years, had buy in from players and community. After Neumann, the program went down the toilet. So, this is the reason we are talking about player and community buy in now. What was the common denominator? The Coach!! You can't put the cart before the horse! Get the right coach, start winning, then the buy in will happen. At Nederland this has already been proven!
  15. Black Chicago residents coming to the realization that with new migrants, the black vote won't matter! Wake up, people!!
  16. The nut mayor complains about them being there and then he does this. What a fruit cake!! [Hidden Content]
  17. Since they hired TD, there's no doubt they'll go with his opinion. With that being said, I don't believe, my opinion, that the individual mentioned would have been on his radar. Now, I'm not saying he didn't apply. We'll have to get the application list to see.
  18. Barbers Hill would have been a good edition for Nederland.
