My thought on home cooking is that it is done for sentimental reasons and not for the individuals overall resume. My opinion is that 90-95% of the time it doesn't work out. Unfortunately for Jasper, when the hire was made I knew it probably wasn't gonna work out, once I found out it was a home cooking hire. Even questionable coaches have luck. But as I always say about luck -- it usually runs out.

1000%, nah. That's your opinion. You can have your own opinions but you can't have your own facts. Again, failing coaches need to "look at the man in the mirror" -- not in the weight room! I know it's hard for people to blame themselves. I've seen it everywhere. It's easier to blame someone else -- like the kids! Because ego is a son-of-a-gun!

I don't blame you for feeling the way you do. There are very few professions were people blames themselves for their failures. Always looking for some one else to blame. But as Bill Parcels once said, looking for someone to blame? "Look at the man in the mirror." I'd add along with that -- but do not look at the kids in the weight room. Blaming the kids is to easy. As for as Jasper, you may be right about no success. That's if they don't hire a good coach. My advise -- stay away from home cooking. Didn't work out to good for them this past time.
