  1. They’re just mad because “coaching” beat “talent!” They, like some here, don’t understand it! 😎😁
  2. So, Nederland has the same type athlete available. One can't be so silly to think otherwise. Like, what, there's a wall between the two cities and the good kids can only stay on one side? It's easy to complain. So, what has been Nederland's problem over these years and what is the answers? And on the other hand, during these years, why has PNG been so successful?
  3. It would seem to me after PNG's State Title that pressure would mount on the Super and school board at Nederland to do something. We shall see!
  4. We were talking about the PNG coach possibly moving on after the State win. And someone asked what did Ethridge do? That was answered. But what wasn't stated, and I'm playing on memory, is that during Ethridge's run, they were in the big dog classification. I think 4A was all it went to at that time. Couldn't get any bigger than PNG vs Odessa Permian. Now, I do recall that during this time Ethridge could have got the Lamar job. Obviously he turned it down. Not sure if any other college offers came his way. So, obviously there is a bit of a difference between then and now. Joseph has the "opportunity" to move up that Ethridge did not have. But like I've said, Buchanan and Surratt stayed put. And as I was reminded, Hooks and Thompson also. So, hopefully for the Indian faithful he stays awhile!
  5. I think people trusted Todd Dodge’s opinion more than anything. Joseph has got him one. Little Dodge is still waiting. Plus, you know I’m not a fan of hiring home cooking.
  6. Little Dodge has never won a State Championship. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong. @Rez Ipsa
  7. How about the “Chain Gang?” I understand it’s not in use anymore! 😏
  8. Because he hasn’t yet. I feel he was hired for all the wrong reasons. It was because of who his father is. All he has to do is prove me wrong and win one. As of now, I don’t think he has the “it” factor. @FearTheSpear
  9. I, like you, have actually seen WOS play the past two years. From what I saw they had some talent. It was quite obvious they were poorly coached. One poor coaching decision was to change everything that had been successful. The new Aledo coach said: why change what has been working? Who just won a State Title? That’s part of “coaching!”
  10. You are probably right. But, IMHO, this Dodge will not win a State Title. Joseph did in his second year. Dodge is a good coach. But does he have what it takes to win a Title? Once they realize this will they then make a move? Only time will tell. PS — they think he an do what his Dad did: not gonna happen! Again, my opinion!
  11. ^^^^This^^^^ Made me laugh!! 🤣🤣
  12. I believe you are right. Well, 99% right. I think there is a caveat: As I’ve stated before, if Westlake or South Lake Carrol wants him bad enough and makes offers worth his while I think that might sway him. Other than that I think he’s staying. Or if Nederland, well, never mind! LOL! Thoughts?!
  13. He went to Round Rock for 1 year. Then became AD for the Pasadena ISD for 10 years. Then retired.
  14. Buchanan at Aledo did and Surratt at Carthage did. So it’s not inconceivable.
  15. I think he’ll stay at PNG. But, I’m sure there are some jobs that might entice to leave one day. I leaning against Katy as being one of them. Two right off the top of head: South Lake Carrol and Austin Westlake.
  16. Message received and noted! 👍🏻
  17. Yeah, but think about this: if this school is getting diluted, would he want to go there and cut his own throat?
  18. For that reason, he might not want to go there!
  19. Exactly!! You would think that after all these years and seeing what PNG did without him that he’d finally snap about playing some defense!
