Imposing tariffs are a last resort option. The threat is the main thing. The reason why Trump is backing off is that the President of Mexico has came around to what Trump/America wanted. Fair trade, better border control and help with the cartels. I'm sure there are more. But, you have to have the weight behind the threats. Everyone knows Trump doesn't play. America first! It's my understanding that the father of the young cancer survivor, that the Dems didn't applaud and stand for, lives in the same district that Green represents. Thoughts are that he might run against Green. I'd be all for it!!
