West Brook 59 Spring Woods 55 WB playing Bryan tonight in semis.

The big kid from Universal Academy was MVP I think. They had 2-3 others on all tournament too. From West Brook it was Simon, Carpenter, and Frank. I have not seen a complete list and don't know who from the other schools.

The officiating for this tournament wasn't great, but everyone usually forgets the bad calls or missed calls that went in favor of their team. Just the ones that went against you that you remember!

Format this year was better with pool play, and five guaranteed games.

Ozen did have more fouls called on them in the first half but it was not 16-2. Parquet and CArpenter each had two fouls in the first half. I'm sure others were called too.

Me neither, but I'd love to see that game happen.

Give credit to Ozen. They had a good game plan and executed it well. WB will be ok but has some things to clean up, especially on offense.

The refs called a good game. One of the better games I've seen around here lately. Certainly didn't affect the outcome or the margin. But I guess there's always a clown who has to bring up the officiating.

Is Ozen that down this year? WB has a solid team but Ozen alway seems to put a good squad on the court. I'll take WB but not by 20.

Yep, and years ago used to play at the Montagne center twice a year and drew good crowds. Back when they were in the same district.

I agree with all of this. Good to see the WB program is back in the discussion. WB vs. Ozen on Tuesday night to get things started.

Oak Ridge has a nationally ranked DE. Sounds like West Brook's O-Line must've held up pretty good against him.

I knew Central, Ozen, and Nederland all lost some key talent. Guess it's a matter of who is in the best position to reload/replace.

What does the race for second place look like?

Besides Arceneaux and Harrison who does Central have coming back this year? Seems like they lost some contributors to graduation too.

Agreed WB should have a good year. What is the "pg thing" that needs to get worked out?
