I don't know how Ozen flew under everones radar, but they are an excellent team. They will definitely compete for one of the top 2 playoff spots. Very fast team and very athletic and they are very deep on the bench!

Thanks, Coop. Just wondering since LCM plays them tomorrow and I haven't heard anything about them this year. I haven't heard much aboout Ozen either, and they are very good. I believe they will compete for the 2nd or 3rd spot behind Lumberton. They are loaded with speed and athletes and they play abouot 12 girls !! They are the best team I've seen LCM pplay so far this year, other than Orangefield and Silsbee.

Does anyone know the score between Vidor and Dayton.

Alyssa Breshears - LCM. Made All-District last year and has gotten much better. Just don't know if she will stay in the outfield or move to 3rd base. Britni Collins - Very good talent, started most of the year in the outfield at LCM last year including every game of the State Tournament. Awesome bat! Katye Harris - Incoming Freshman at LCM, not sure where she will play but she will make a big impact, even with her Dad around ! Julianne Viator - Another incoming Freshman that will make a big impact. Good arm, good speed and since she has moved strictly to the left side batting she is killing the ball! Ashley Kuhn - Nederland. I'm not for sure where she will be playing, but she is AWESOME !! Probably the best talent in the area. Plus she was newcomer of the year last year. I don't know the name of this one. But, the girl that plays Centerfield for Most Wanted is awesome. I believe she is from Kirbyville and she threw out 2 or 3 runners at the plate with perfect throws to the plate. Maybe DH can help with the name. Also, from Silsbee - Caroline McClelland. Kid can cover some ground and always seems to be in the right place. Has a good arm as well as a good bat. I just don't know how much action she will see in the outfield because of her pitching duties. Plus, she , like Ashley Kuhn has that GREAT smile that brightens up a ball field! She is an awesome kid!!

You know it !! I've got a list a mile long ! I'm ready for some High School softball ! By the way, I got to see Baby Bean last night at the basketball game. I was mad, she already has more hair than I do ! Mom has already said she's gonna be wearing Green and Gold instead of that Purple stuff !! :wink:

If the Stros are going to get back to the World Series they better pick up some more OFFENSE!!!!! They've already proven that Pitching can't win enough games to get you a World Championship.

If LCM would have shown up for the 1st quarter they would have won the game. However, they didn't and as a result the girls were down , I think , 9 -0 after the quarter was over. LCM had a very POOR shooting performance and PNG seemed to hit everything they put up, especially in the 1st half. LCM was also hurt with stupid fouls. They had at least 3 of the 5 starters with 4 fouls for the majority of the game and eventually lost 2 starters. Hats off to PNG they had a good game plan and they just out played LCM. After the Orangefield Tournament I thought LCM was finally starting to come together, but after last night, it's obvious they still have a long way to go.

Hey BC in order to make a suggestion you have to actually get out and see some softball games. How can you make a pick when you haven't gotten out of the house all Fall?

I for one don't think Orangefield purposely runs up a score. I live in LCM and have a Daughter on LCM's Varsity, so I witnessed a blowout myself. Orangefield did play all of their girls and their subs got a bunch of playing time. A coach can't tell her kids to just STOP playing !! Orangefield girls work their tails off year round in basketball and it shows. Until other schools start doing the same it's not going to get any better. Yea, I hate getting our butts beat, but if you don't like it then work your butts off to get better and be able to compete at the level they play at! Then you want have to be having this discussion. I think our girls got something out of the Orangefield game and yep I'm sure it was embarrassing to them, but they will grow from that game and they will improve.

Don't connect all LCM Fans to this guy or gal!! I for one was at the LCM vs. Nederland game and Nederland just flat out did what it took to win the game when they needed to, and LCM didn't. No excuses, no Luck just plain hard nose football. Great year for Nederland and also a much better year for LCM. Congrats to all the play-off teams ! Hopefully LCM's turn is just around the corner.

Champion, you've got 2 others that need mentioning for this as well. Ashley Soignet at 1st base and Allison Erwin at 2nd or 3rd or catcher wherever you choose to put her. Both have been playing some outstanding defense and the bats get better and better every day! Both have worked very hard during the off-season this year.

OK, I'll throw in my 2 cents worth. Pitcher - Erin May from LCM. A transfer from Diboll, I had my doubts at first, but after the past few weekends, there is no doubt she should be considered. She just manages to keep hitters off balance all game long!! She is for REAL!! But, I have to agree with Cheater, Bekka From WOS is a STUD ! (Man, that hurt!) Catcher - Whitley Richards from LCM. She will be a Senior this year and she has worked extremely hard on her game. Her hitting is much better and the girl has some POP in her bat as well as a good arm.

Katie Harrell - Played 2nd base last year for the 4A State Champ LCM. Probably will be moved to SS this year. Picked for State All -Tournament team as a Freshman. Alyssa Breshears - Played in the outfield last year but will probably see time at 3rd base this year. Made All-District as a Freshman at LCM

Way to go Lady Bears!! Maybe things will start coming together now.
