If the Tigers are hitting on all cylinders it will be around a 30 point win. The usual storyline is the worthy challenger hangs tough till some point in the 3rd and then it slips away from them. But if the Tigers have an off night it could get interesting. Either way it will be fun and worth watching.

Looks like he could be a force with a supporting cast. A big man with a nice shooting touch. Of course we don't know how seriously the Tigers were taking him.

Everybody plays now.

95 - 37 after 3. It's kind of deteriorating into sort of a full court pickup game.

Silsbee at Sugar Bowl Classic/Post updates here

The coach's poll has Eastern Hills at No. 1. Yet they lost to Southlake Caroll who isn't on the poll's 6A top 25. If EH really is a tad better than Faith Family then this is going to be very interesting year in 4A. Caroll is a team that all of the 4A top 10 could be competitive with on a given night. So there aren't any monsters in 4A this year? Or is FF just toying with us all? -

We don't get to see a Region 3 tourney preview. Peabody beat Washington 52 - 36. -

Hanging on to a slim lead is one of the toughest thing in basketball. -

They do have a common opponent, La Grange. Shaw's 34 point win was convincing but not as impressive as Silsbee's win. That halftime score was devastating. -
Summer Creek 62 Kingwood 61/FINAL

62-61 SC final. Kingwood got off the last shot and it was a good look but too strong. -
Yep. Vidor’s worn out. Tigers second unit is increasing the lead. 82-42

I thought it would be a little closer at the half. They’re shooting well but can’t handle the pressure.
-
They played HF a close game recently, 75-73. So there's something there. In order to stay competitive they'll have to spend a lot of energy in the first half. By the middle of the 3rd there won't be much left.

A three day pass is only $30. If you're a high school basketball fan I don't see how you can beat it. -
I say let the bench get really serious playing time as in half the game. The starters will get all the testing they need in the next couple of weeks.

Bridge City 54 Silsbee 87/FINAL

Indeed. Miller is the heart of the team but Harris is the most talented. In fact I think he has as yet untapped potential. He made a couple of full court passes with style that were a little reminiscent of Jokić last night. I have a question. Does anybody know what was the tech against Harris for? I saw the block but missed what happened afterwards. I assume it was justified but he looked genuinely mystified and not in just a "who me?" kind of way. I figured the Cardinals would wilt a little at some point. You just can't keep up maximum intensity whole way. And the moment it started to slip the Tigers pounced. But in years past it could have been 45 points or even worse. That didn't happen, BC altered that script. Silsbee didn't pull away until late and starters and important subs played until less that 3 minutes was left. I was impressed. Based on what I saw and what's happened so far around the district I'd have to agree that BC can be the 2nd place team. -

BC hit a bunch of 3s in the third to keep it closer than otherwise. They're a good shooting team and they have some height. Very good ball handling and passing. Looks like there could be a playoff spot for them. -

BC is a scrappy bunch. 41-25 @ the half. I suppose we’re on track for a 30 pt Tiger win depending on how much the subs play for each team. -

And everybody knows playing basketball gets you in better shape for football than practicing football gets you in shape for football. Everybody knows that, right? Okay, it's a stretch, but it's the best I could come up with on short notice.
