Anybody have any questions about how good WOS was?

If you’re looking for Yates to get tired forget it. Coach Wise was substituting liberally all through the first half.

Never seen so many missed layups and 3 footers. Silsbee is shooting poorly from everywhere. Unless they can turn it around this will be it.

26 - 19 after 1 both teams have settled down.

Silsbee has missed about 32 layups but Yates is not shooting well either.

I’d be a broadcaster. But oboist could stand it.

I'm still going with Silsbee by 6. I think Yates will play better and harder than they did in either game against Washington. They lost by only 8 last time out. Any kind of a win for the Tigers is a good omen because I think Yates will play Washington right down to the wire if they win tonight. I suppose the logical conclusion of my thinking is that WOS, at their best, is a team more like the one that lost to Silsbee by 3 than the team the lost to Silsbee by 33.

It's not an absolutely terrible matchup for LCM. They had a good game against Navasota and they have some size and some leaping ability. Teams like that that hang around get better at each outing. I don't think LCM is quite the same team right now that Silsbee beat by 32 and then by 37. There's been improvement. But they'll have to have every break and play better than their best against what amounts to an HISD all star team. A team which, by the way, shot 50% from 3pt range in their last game.

3 of the top 4 in the coaches' poll in the finals. The fourth team being No. 10. Pretty good picks if you ask me. Hope it's the same story on the boys side.

Silsbee will have to really take care of the ball. WOS got rolled 16 - 2 in the first first few minutes in a run that was in no way indicative of the way the two teams matched up. The score at half time and the final score were proof of that. The Tigers need to be ready from the tipoff.

That would be a shocker! Unranked vs. No. 1? Might not be the last chance to see United play locally. Nederland could win. That would be an upset too but now as monumental.

It's purely a matter of taste. The Tigers prefer to play a little closer to the ground than some of the others.

It's not going to get easier. So here's my prediction, a 6pt Tiger win in overtime.

Me too. The matchup against Yates is better. They aren't as big and strong as Furr. But really their just as good as Furr. They traded wins with Furr in district. Yates lost by only 8 to Washington in their second district game. Yates came in 3rd because they lost a close game to Wheatley.

Furr is a great defensive team. Rarely seen guys who got back on defense so consistently. Only a few easy baskets for the Tigers.

Furr is running a power play like in hocky. It’s 8 on 5.

The only bounce that went Silsbee’s way in the third was a missed two foot shoot at the buzzer. The tigers got their couple of 3’s from Cartwright and that’s the difference.

For a minute I thought Furr was getting tired but I was wrong. They looked stronger than us at the buzzer. Tigers are going to have to get a couple of threes from somewhere.

Furr is back on the court warming up with almost 7:00 left in the break. All the coach had to say apparently was keep it up

Silsbee is 1 for 6 from three. They had a bit of a run at the beginning of the second. But got really sloppy and gave it all back + 1. Not very impressive. Now Furr thinks they can win. Dangerous situation for the Tigers.
