No, you are wrong. They make outrageous claims which they can't/won't back up, then refuse to answer when called out, then accuse everyone on the board of being ignorant and racist. I want Left representatives on this board, but would rather do without than "debate" with such childishness.

No coincidence. Remmus' spelling, grammar, and punctuation are far superior to either, or nappyroots. But it is weird that we seem to have only one, sometimes two people from the Left on here at a time.

I'm confident that Remmus' mistake was accidental though.

No, Perry was thinking about all of Texas' families which is why he did everything in his power not to get involved in the Obamacare debacle. Way too many strings attached to that Socialist program and the eminence of dependency on the Federal Government. Kudos to Perry on this one. -

When they can get it. Can you name some of the many, many world-class physicians, new drugs, innovative surgical procedures, and state-of-the-art prosthetics and machines that have emanated from these countries? Me neither. -

Guaranteed healthcare means the government is paying for you therefore is able to dictate every facet of your life, including what you can eat and drink. And socialized medicine kills the entrepreneurship and innoviations in the profession. Government will try to control costs, therefore doctors will be paid less and less, leading to the best and brightest not entering into the profession. There is a reason the U.S. healthcare system is the greatest in the world. I'm perplexed as to why some want to change that. And once you read Sowell's writings and some others I think you will become suspicious of the motives behind social welfare programs also, especially Socialized healthcare. -

I have Bing and Google so I'm an expert on anything you want to discuss. I'm not a scholar on any other country, but practically every country just by nature is going to have it's fair share of dirt. Keeping a scorecard of who is worse would fall to the "eye of the beholder" and a fool's errand. That's why I'm not infatuated with past wrongs but contemplate more on where we are headed. (This does not mean we should not learn from our past mistakes though.) I am perplexed at your last statement (in which I whole-heartedly agree). Doesn't it seem semi-paradoxical for you to always be suspicious of our government but call for bigger and bigger government? -

Can you name a country that has less dirt in it's past that you hold in high regard? Do you believe the American citizens try to correct the wrongs of our past less than citizens of other countries? Did the Americans citizens not work extremely hard to correct the wrongs of recent history in the face of overwhelming odds due to the biased Liberal Media and Political establishment machine? (I had to throw this one in there. LOL) -

That's why I touted the "theory" of social welfares programs being perpetuated to control Blacks. The belief from your post (in bold) is an integral of that theory, and is discussed at length in many "obscure" publications. -

Once you read Sowell's work you will/should have a very hard time maintaining your socially Liberal stance. And please don't stop with him. There are many more authors espousing the same ideas from many different viewpoints. These works are tough to find due to their "unpopularity" (meaning they are a direct assault on the Liberal viewpoint and thus unworthy of publication and dissemination). -

Yes he is to many on the Left. -
I know, it was more of a retort to Remmus' statement and meant to be rhetorical. After all, many on the Left are pissed that Trump is "creating policy" before he is ever in office, but then want Trump to weigh in on situations such as this. If they scream Obama is still the President, then they should be calling for Obama and not Trump to take the leadership role.

Articles, books and volumes have been written on this. Yes, the White liberals are to blame for creating the welfare system that has shackled Blacks (and the poor of all ethnic groups) to the government teet. This has been known for years. But the Liberal media, Black leaders and Liberal social redistribution advocates share as much or probably more of the blame for the continual perpetuation of these horrendous policies. Thus my hatred for Liberals and social welfare programs. The evidence of the ill effects of these programs is abundant and irrefutable, but these people have done nothing but beg for more and more of the same policies that is the very essence of the destruction of the Black family (and the poor). Many people hold the theory that this welfare system was created and perpetuated as a way to control the Black population. I personally believe that the system was created with good intentions, but is being perpetuated by a combination of good intentions and evil elitist. Many think throwing more and more money at the situation is helping while many others know and condone the ill effects. When Obama was elected eight years ago I was somewhat optimistic that he would address this issue and work to change it. He did not. So he is either too stupid/naïve to recognize a documented catastrophe or he is part of the conspiracy. After seeing his views on the Man-Made Global Warming fallacy, I'm fairly certain the case is the latter. -
That was an intelligent line by Trump.

I've never met a Liberal that wasn't filled with hate. I've met a bunch of Democrats that are good honest people that just disagree with the extent of the government's role in our lives. There is a huge disparity between Liberals and Democrats. All Liberals are Democrats but want to constantly push the party further Left towards Socialism. Not all Democrats are Liberals. I thought we went through this before. -

If the rich people wanted to kill off social programs, those programs would be gone. What is your definition of fair share? If you pay no taxes, are you paying your fair share? Let's get a definition of fair share, because every Liberal and/or Democrat has never been able to answer that question when posed to them. -

Yes, Liberal leaders are filled with hate for anyone that isn't in lock step with their beliefs. Their sheeple conform to their beliefs and eventually adopt the hate. It is as simple as that. Trump pulled the Democrats that finally got fed up with the Liberal hate. -

The hate groups were energized because they knew Obama and the Liberal media was on their side and would protect them. They were free to spew their hate without repercussions. Obama's skin color had nothing to do with that. If Hillary would have won the little monsters would be even more energized to silence anyone that disagrees with their hate filled speech. And you wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near me when some of those Republicans were spouting that "big tent party" nonsense. How I never broke my TV is beyond me. My dogs would run outside anytime one of these RHINOs appeared on my TV. The neighbor kids would run home scared. These RHINO pinheads were actually suggesting that Republicans had to change their belief set. If that is the case, why even believe in anything. I think many on the Conservative side took note of these pinheads spouting that nonsense and quickly became anti-establishment. And thus Donald J. Trump. -

That statement is utterly bogus. The 1% are hell bent on getting their taxes lowered because they pay the most and are the target of the Left. They do work hard to have tax deductions carved out for them because the Left works so hard to confiscate their wealth through taxes, unless they contribute large sums to the Democrat politician (and thus the carve out). If they didn't fight back, they would go broke trying to pay their taxes. A simplified tax code could solve this. They are also very charitable with their time and account for paying the most taxes and account for giving the most to charities. I'm not sure why Liberals have such hate for the rich (and successful), but the hate is prevalent. I guess it might be labeled as "extreme envy". -

I used the Civil War as a general analogy, not as a perfect fit. I'm still not getting the relevance to Davis in the context of this discussion. I read his bio on Wikipedia. I knew about the hate for the Reconstructionists, but didn't recall that he was one of them. The little Nazis wanna-be Liberal hate groups were energized in the last eight years plus, not just in the last year when Trump announced his candidacy. Obama and the Liberal media are the owners of the uprising of the groups, not Trump. Trump was just used as the target of hate, as would any of the inevitable Republican candidates. Whoever won the Republican Primary was certain to be labeled a racist, homophobe, xenophobe, misogynist, etc., etc., etc. Sadly, it is the Democrat way ever since the Liberals took over the party. McCain and Romney were both on the receiving end of these bogus labels. -

I've heard commentators asking the Obamacare supporters if Obamacare is so good, why is it so unpopular. Their answers basically all say the same thing...because the American people are so stupid we have to tell them what is good for them. It is unpopular because of the messaging...and Republican obstructionism (when Democrats owned both Houses and the White House). I've heard supporters of Obamacare say Congress was exempted because they already have good healthcare. Obamacare is designed for the poor and those that couldn't get healthcare otherwise, therefore is not needed for Congress and their staffers. It is one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard. We should repeal Obamacare and then require all that voted for it that you now must get your healthcare through the non-existent exchange. That would be karma at it's finest. -

I don't care what pot you fall under. If you want to try to dictate how I live my life with a superior, condescending and belligerent attitude, then I will label you a Liberal. If not, I don't care to label you at all. I mentioned the Civil War because the same attitude I espoused was the same attitude that brought us into the war. That same sentiment is growing, but not just in the southern states, but in the majority of middle America and most of rural America. This sentiment is why I support secession...again. The constant berating by Liberal groups is comical. But when the government gets involved and starts dictating through laws and executive orders, then it becomes a tad bit more serious. I'm a little more hopeful that these little Nazi wanna-be groups will be quelled after there abysmal showing in the last election, but I'm not optimistic the government is going to take their boot off of the citizen's neck either. What about Davis? I couldn't remember who he was and had to do a Bing search. I've heard of him but know very little about him. So my opinion of him is that of no opinion. What leading point are you trying to make by that question? -

If you think it fails the sniff test then you probably hold the same prejudicial views as the Liberals. I thought you said you did a lot of studying on the Civil War?
