There are millions of baseless racist accusations across this country on a daily basis. Considering I'm an angry old white guy, I'm the target of most of these allegations. I'd be shocked if anyone above a 6th grade education would dispute that. The next time you hear a minority spouting about persecution (as presented on this forum practically daily), please reciprocate your questioning of me in the same way to that person. Ask them to provide proof of such inequitable treatment.
-
Sometimes they find a way around the rules...sometimes they just blatantly break them because they know the Justice Department will not dare prosecute them.
-
Please elaborate on that? I hear these type of statements everyday but yet they are never backed up with any kind of proof. In the rare times that the speaker is actually questioned, the predictable replies will be "Duh?", or "You don't know what it's like to be a black/minority in America", or references to 50+ years ago and slavery. You never get responses referring to the trillions of dollars spent on Civil Rights, redistribution, Affirmative Action, urban development, minority outreach in every type of job imaginable, etc.

How is that different than lining up blacks behind you when you make a speech? Or lining up Hispanics? Or lining up doctors? Or lining up whoever you feel will make the biggest impact. Both parties do it, but most Democrats spend much more time on the optics than most Republicans. Many people are willing to be called out like pawns. But I agree with you, I'm also not that type. I would probably walk out with you. Would you walk out on an Obama speech if he asked you to be a pawn?

I'm not sure what you are trying to convey here? Please elaborate. nappyroots made the statement that Republicans make racist statements everyday. I replied that I get called a racist everyday. Then westend1 asked if someone actually called me a racist. I replied on a daily basis. So I'm not sure who your statement is referring to.

On a daily basis.

Every time I get called a racist, I wear it as a badge of honor. It just means I'm winning an argument somewhere.

Black Lives Matter Has Officially Cost Mizzou 2,100 Students
Englebert replied to LumRaiderFan's topic in Political Forum
I looked but might have missed it in the article. Is enrollment down for Black students (who might feel the campus is a hostile place for them), or for white students (who might feel the school coddles to Black Lives Matter), or a combination of both? -
When I saw my Pickem was missing, I reposted. If there are any discrepancies between my two postings, please use the one that has the most correct picks.

I agree with you on these. But this is a secular country, and we shouldn't be forcing our beliefs on others. And these examples do not apply to the situation of this topic.

It's funny how Darwin purposed that evolution can happen over hundreds to thousands of years, but science has shown it takes much longer. But somehow Democrats can evolve over a matter of days to months. Of course, Republicans can only flip-flop.

I have to begrudgingly respond to this topic...not just your response PhatMack19. One thing that many, including the U.S. Supreme Court, believes is that by forcing someone to sit out of a group participating in an activity that is extraneous to the purpose of the group, has the effect of alienating that person. For example, let's take high school football. If a coach preaches unity of teamwork ( there's no "I" in team) and all of the other team cohesion expressions, then gets to the end of practice and says, "Let's all pray". What does a non-religious team member do? That player has just participated in all of the team drills, listened to coaches preaching unity, and now has to go the corner while the rest of the team prays...in unity. And all of the team members see his "lack of unity". This is the whole reason why any type of religion is and should be prohibited in respective activities. Forcing someone to reveal their beliefs (and consequently being shown as an outcast) or showing team/group unity is a tough decision...not just for a high school kid but for anyone. I'm not going to go into the history of when the phrase "under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance. That is a simple Bing search. But I do want to question all as to the validity of forcing a non-religious/other person the choice of repeating this phrase or being castigated as a non-member (aka Un-American).

Superstorm (mainstream media term for strong wind not strong enough to be classified as a hurricane) Sandy happened right before an election, thus his quick and caring response.

new tobie, I want to ask you a question and see if you can answer honestly. If for some reason Congress lost their minds and passed a bill prohibiting gun ownership is the U.S., do you think Obama would sign that bill into law?
-
I bet he didn't prohibit Hannity and Rush because of racist language. But if he did, somebody needs to explain to him the definition of racism.

I think we are on the same page regarding the current status of secession. Right now it is just talk. Secession will happen only if we get more membership than we currently have. I feel this country is moving more and more socialist and see no corrective course in sight. And the resentment is growing. How long it will take before enough people are fed up and willing to fight for secession is anybody's guess...if ever. I'm already there. More people are continually reaching that point. But we still have a long way to go.
-
The response from Liberals will be that those people are not indicative of the Democrat party. But if one of the Trump supporters would have knocked one of them out, then he would be considered the face of the Republican party...hell bent on violence and intimidation. The bias is so blatant and overwhelming that it is impossible for me to comprehend how Democrats can't see it...or refuse to see it. As long as the media is so partisan I see the future of this country as very bleak.

Only if the military is willing to fight against it's own people. I don't know if they will. Many in the military will be in favor of secession. Many will not care and would refuse to participate in the killing of fellow Americans. It's hard to tell. If the military goes full bore with the U.S., then yes, a militia victory will never happen. If it does not and stays out of the fight, I think secession will be successful. Currently I don't think there is near enough will from the people to secede, but the movement is slowly (much too slowly) growing. If the majority of Texans (and other Constitutional Patriots) decided to quit paying taxes, how would the government respond? Would the President send in the military to round up millions of people? Would the military comply? If the Constitutional Patriots banded together and decided not to buy goods from any company not in favor of secession, how would the government respond? If enough people joined the movement, I don't think the government and military could stop it. But this takes extreme commitment from the people, and I don't think the compassion is there yet.

And there was absolutely no way in hell the (eventual) U.S. could stand a chance against the British, the greatest army the world had ever seen. And the strongest push for liberty from England was from middle to elderly white males. This push was spawned from an overly oppressive government. I'm not predicting a secession, but I am definitely advocating for one.
-
It would be something the Nation of Texas will have to work out. I'm worried that if we don't secede we will have to worry about people living on fixed incomes...present and future, not to mention the $20 trillion in debt we are on the hook for, not to mention all of the money going to services for illegals, not to mention all of the corruption in the Federal government, not to mention... I doubt if Texas would secede alone. Once a movement materializes (hopefully), I would be willing to bet other states would join. If not, I still would want to Texas to secede. And if it means war, well then I'm with Charlie...Let's Ride!

I did. I don't know how many people will follow suit...and Obama is a lying unconvicted criminal deserving of a jail cell with a good ol' boy named Bubba. It is amazing how you can read in psychology textbooks about people who can convince themselves of a false narrative just by repeating it over and over, but to see it in real life is fascinating. You can bury your head in the sand all you want, but some of us won't be fooled.

Most on here praise anyone against Obama's policies, regardless of skin color. Your attempts to paint everyone on here as racist are falling on deaf ears. Who are some of the blacks that are in lock-step with Obama's policies and yet deserving of our praise? Hell, name someone of any color that follows the Progressive Liberal agenda that are deserving of our praise. -

Is this your attempt to change the subject after you brought race into the subject but cannot defend it's use? -

Pretty much all sane people with more than two functioning brain cells are against Obama and the Leftist Socialist agenda...regardless of skin color. Nice to see you that you are a typical Leftist who has to throw out the race card when you can't defend your positions. Of course, everyone on here already knows that.
