  1.   The bible does not say "steal from the rich to give to the poor", which is the liberal doctrine.
  2. Does anyone know if the board voted to continue the appeal of the TEA takeover?
  3.   Groveton beat Cooper 82-6 in the Regional Semi-Finals (Quarter-Finals...3rd Round), not the State Semi-Finals. I didn't realize Bam Morris was a senior for Cooper that year. I remember wanting to go to that game (had a couple of friends from Corrigan that were going) but ended up going with some other friends to see Newton/Mexia instead. I did go to the Groveton/Corrigan-Camden game the next week. That was the first time I got to see Rodney Thomas and I was thoroughly impressed.
  4. I was thinking the same thing Hippy.
  5. Agreed!
  6. The original statement I heard about indictments stemming from BISD investigations was that a hundred or more indictments would be filed...not a hundred or more people would get indicted. For example, one person could have 37 indictments against him/her i.e. Calvin Walker. Later I kept hearing from other sources that 100 or more people would be indicted. I simply took that as these sources misinterpreting the original source. But who knows, maybe it will be a hundred or more people or just a few.   I just heard from a reliable source ^^^ who heard from his reliable source that around 80 people would be indicted.
  7. Our founding fathers and government leaders from 100 years ago would call for an overthrow of our current government. And who could blame them! This government is way worse than the old British government they sought sovereignty from.
  8.   Who is "they (da system)" you refer to? Are they the perceived "angry old white men" or do you have a new stereotype for "these people"?
  9.   You have no clue how I feel. It might be frustration, it might be tongue-in-cheek.   Instead of trying to analyze the messenger to find some way of shooting him, why don't you address the point. Do you deny that you, and others, accuse people of being racist without proof then challenge them to prove otherwise?   And I don't mind if you throw out a race card alert. I've had them thrown at me all my life. When you're a southern white redneck then racists accusations are a daily occurrence. And that would be...what's the word I'm looking for...oh yeah...racial stereotyping.
  10.   That's a typical position for race baiters...throw out an unsupported accusation then demand that you prove yourself innocent.   How about this Bluedove, you are a child molester. I have nothing to base this on, but I will continue to call you that until you prove your innoncence. Maybe then you can walk a mile in a white man's shoes.
  11.   Or maybe the white stereotypes are wrong.
  12.   Liberals only give the benefit of the doubt to other liberals.
  13.   That incident wouldn't even had made the news 6 years ago.   [Hidden Content]
  14.   When you say Perry made a fool out of himself, are you referring to the time he said he had been to 57 states with one more to go?
  15. Frankly, I don't have a problem with open carry demostrations...at all. In fact, I kinda like them. I like the idea that every would-be criminal knows that in Texas you are likely to come across an armed citizen while carrying out your chosen line of work. Open carry reinforces that "stereotype". And yes, criminals do profile people.   I've been going to a particular "hangout" on the weekends for years. People from all over southeast Texas come there. A whole lot of alcohol is consumed, and probably over half of the people are carrying gun(s). That's a conservative estimate. Every once in a while words are exchanged or a fight briefly breaks out. But not one time has anybody pointed a gun at another person, much less shot at someone else.   Being surrounded by people carrying guns does not make me feel uncomfortable one bit. Now if I'm ever surrounded by Democratic politicians, I would make sure to keep a firm grip on my wallet.
  16.   I don't know. Is he a Democrat or Republican? If Democrat, he will be probably be forgiven. If Republican, he is still an angry old white male racist.     Edit: I just realized this topic is in the Locker Room and not the the Political section. Please disregard this post!
  17. [Hidden Content]   I'm waiting to hear what Diane Fienstein has to say about this.
  18. I'm sure if a cure for cancer is found then Obama will try to take credit for the discovery.   And if at a later date the "cure" was found to be faulty, I'm definitely sure he would blame Bush.
  19. The actions were coordinated by rogue employees in a field campaign office. If the allegations are true then I'm outraged and those responsible will be held accountable. This is old news. Nothing to see here. We need to move on to more important issues. Not a smidgen of corruption. That so called "scandal" is phoney...a political witch hunt. We've already had four bi-partisan investigations and no evidence ties this to Governor Christie. These allegations are being reported by a less-than-reputable "news source".   This was all I could find in "The Leftest Guide to Crisis Management".
  20. Obama is the clear favorite for this year's lie of the year: "I'm outraged and if these allegations are true then those responsible will be held accountable."
  21. I saw that his lips were sometimes slightly out of sync with the audio. The video is a FAKE! Big Girl will back me up on this one.
  22.   If you are basing your statement on Larry Sabato's article, which has been used widely by the MSM, that is not what he said. He said "the higher the education level, the more likely the voter will vote democrat."  Other studies have also shown that "the lower the education level, the more likely the voter will vote democrat." High school dropouts overwhelmingly vote democrat over republican. I have yet to see a study that tried to combine the two spectrums to get an average education level based on political party affiliation.   People with higher education levels voting democrat doesn't surprise me one bit. The longer you stay in school, the more you are inundated with liberal professors.      I have also read studies that state that voters with higher incomes vote republican over democrat.   From this article: [Hidden Content]   "Financially, Republicans fare better than either Democrats or Independents, and tend to identify themselves as such. Republican candidates gain a significantly higher percentage of votes from individuals with incomes over $50,000 per year, and the advantage increases along with the income level, to a height of 63 percent of individuals earning $200,000 or more a year supporting Republicans. This level is the direct inverse of individuals earning less than $15,000 a year, who support Democrats at 63 percent and Republicans at only 36 percent."
  23.   I'm curious too. PamFam10, define "assault" rifle. What characteristics separate an "assault" rifle from a "non-assault" rifle?
  24. BTW, I was not trying to imply you, me or Smitty was anti-gay or pro-gay. I was just sticking to the you and me theme from your post.
