I'm curious if the brothers can sue HGTV for discrimination...provided contracts were signed (which I don't think any were). A gay couple sued a photographer (and won) for refusing to photograph their wedding. Shouldn't the same standard apply here?

I thought I heard him say earlier in the call that if he appointed a board of managers then he was required by law to appoint a superintendent. I might not have heard him correctly, but that's what I thought he said. That could mean that he has to appoint a superintendent but not fire Chargois. I took it to mean that Chargois would be replaced.

So a male and female are working the same job, and after one year you give them a performance evaluation to determine pay raises for the next year. You find a huge discrepancy in the performance quality of the two workers. Can you give one a raise without giving the other one the same raise? If the higher performer is the woman, sure. But if the higher performer is the male...uh-oh. So when awarding the pay raise I guess you would also have to immediately hire a lawyer to defend yourself when the inevitable lawsuit summons hits your desk.   There are existing laws already on the books that specifically address gender pay disparity. And there are plenty of studies that prove that the gender pay gap does not exist. I remember reading some of these studies in college.

  You mean men and women have different dress codes? How is that legal? Is that a war on men or women?

I have read/heard many stories where a student had to change shirts, had the wrong hairstyle, pants too baggy, etc because his/her dress style could be distracting to a learning environment. But a teacher that is a man dressed as a woman....no, that's not distracting at all.

You responded to a post that said BH will not be 5A next year, by saying they would be 5A in maybe 6 years. I'm saying they will be in 5A next year due to the UIL's new naming convention. (I said nothing about enrollment numbers). So the bet is whether or not BH will be 5A next year. I say they will be. Would you care to take that bet?  ;D

How much money can a school generate on advertising on the JumboTron? Can it be a significant amount to cover/defray the initial cost? I have no idea how much advertising like this can bring in. Just curious if the overall cost can be severly cut by advertising.

I don't know which school decided to stop the series. It was probably a mutual agreement because the last three games were out-of-hand. HF won 42-14 in 1989, 63-6 in 1990, and 70-0 in 1991. But if you know of some information on who actually decided not to continue the game, please share.
