I find it hilarious that you think you can analyze TVC's (or anyone's) rationale for voting for a particular candidate. Ask a person why he voted for Trump, and that person can list the reasons. Ask a person why he voted for Biden, and all he can muster is "I hate Trump". But keep trying, you might stumble upon a correct analysis one day.

District 11 is almost set in stone, but an upset next week can shift the positions wildly. The four playoff teams are set: WOS, HF, Orangefield, Silsbee WOS is district champion. Silsbee finishes district play at 4-2. (The first scenario is based on points then head-to-head...I still haven't found the District charter) Technically each team can finish as Runner-up, Third, or Fourth. The first scenario is by far the most probable. If HF (4-2) beats Liberty and Orangefield (4-2) beats HJ: R=HF, T=Orangefield, F=Silsbee If HF (4-2) beats Liberty and HJ beats Orangefield (3-3): R=Silsbee, T=HF, F=Orangefield If Liberty beats HF (3-3) and Orangefield (4-2) beats HJ: R=Orangefield, T=Silsbee, F=HF If Liberty beats HF (3-3) and HJ beats Orangefield (3-3): R=Silsbee, T=HF, F=Orangefield Bridge City can possibly tie HF and/or Orangefield with 3-3 records, but will lose out on a playoff spot due to head-to-head losses against both.

Each district determines their own tie-breaking rules. Some use point differential for each seed, some use the system I described. I haven't looked at the tie-breaking rules in a few years, so I'm not sure which one District 11 uses. Please let us know if you find out. I will see if I can dig up something also.

If I'm not mistaken, the way our district works is that in a three way tie, point differential is used to determine the first team in (2nd seed). Head-to-head then determines the other two seeds (3rd and 4th seeds). If that is the case, a HF win by 2 or more will put HF 2nd (point differential), Orangefield 3rd and Silsbee 4th (Head-to-head). If anyone has the district charter please verify.

If Orangefield beats HF or loses by one point, Orangefield will be runner-up, Silsbee will be third, and HF will be fourth. If HF beats Orangefield by two or more points, HF will be runner-up, Orangefield will be third, and Silsbee will be fourth. (Barring any upsets.)
