I like it here. We "transplants" do quite well in this town. Smart conservatism works. My former home town could benefit a great deal from a healthy dose of what Texas is doing.

Obama designates two national monuments, outrages Republicans

I'm glad she didn't become president either. Like I said repeatedly, she was more of the same and had no new ideas for the economy. Bernie was coming from the hard left like Jimmy Carter. A lot of the republican candidates were a who's who of Pavlov dogs. Trump was the only guy speaking about new ideas. -
Okay...I fit the M.O. I guess. Time will tell. All I can say is I'm a man of my word and I'm not this other person. Do you know any personal facts about the other poster? I told REPgb some of my life story. See if it matches up. I'm sure it won't. Outside of the great state of Texas there's LOTS of people that think just like me and the other poster (based on what you've alluded to). Texas is bit of a sanctuary for conservatism once you get outside any of the major urban areas. Not sure how much any of you travel.

LOL. See Hillary's work while at Yale Law and moving forward. You can hate the lady if you want. -

Compromise...Newt's idea and Newt campaigned well to get it done. Welfare reform supports the belief that liberalism has hurt poor Americans (typically African Americans are sited). -
2 points for @stevenash I liked income redistribution until I started making real money. LOL

LOL re: Chelsea. I am a former beneficiary of gender bias in pay. I was paid more than my female supervisor. When she found out...LMAO. Wasn't a good day. Newt wasn't some kind of fiscal Svengali. He benefited from the bull market just as much as Bill. Their working TOGETHER landed us with a surplus. -
You guys crack me up. It comes off as if there's only one person that could accept some liberal views in all of this forum's history. "Oh that's just SupremeEnlightedWhateverdaheck. He's crazy. Dismiss." I have no way of proving I'm not this person. All I can say is you come off weak for going there.

You're reaching. Hillary came from a middle class family and went on to graduate from Wellesley College (acceptance rate in the 20 percentile) and then Yale Law. She's a former senator, secretary of state, and first female to receive the nomination of a major party. Her husband happens to be a former president. Her commitment to social causes is well documented. -

Point taken, but our country can really look like hypocrites to our enemies. We've committed some of the same atrocities. -

The Clintons are blue dog democrats that know how to work with Republicans to get things done (mainly Bill). Whether it was luck or by effort, Bill Clinton presided over an extremely successful time in our recent history. Yeah, he was a horn dog and that is wrong, but I don't diminish his abilities as a politician that worked for the good of all people. Hillary despite some bad decisions is incredibly successful and a champion for the disenfranchised. If we can accept Trump's dirt, we can accept the Clinton's dirt. Yes, President Obama lacked the leadership skill when it relates to using the bully pulpit. -
Millennials. Gotta luv em. I'm sure his move gets him lots "likes" on Instragram, Twitter, and Facebook.
-
Point taken. I'll back it up.
-
Yes it is. I still luv ya bro.

vehemently? No, just stated. I have some views from the left handbook. So? There are some that drink too hard from the conservative pond IN MY Opinion. I still like to read and exchange thoughts and respect your views.

Well the liberals say I'm too far right and acting like a hillbilly. Do you speak for everyone on this board? Do you want a forum where everyone agrees with the same thinking and never challenges each other (especially for fear of being labeled a dreaded liberal)? That scenario amounts to one big conservative dry hump session. If this really isn't a political forum but actually a conservative think tank, let me know. You fellers can get back to massaging each other with Fox News headlines. I've "met" some really great posters here that were willing to exchange ideas without labeling.

I agree with the caveat that Republicans stone walled and that hurt the economy too. I like Trump on the economy and immigration. I think he's bound to be another disaster with foreign policy...we'll see. I have much love for the Clintons despite their sins, but Hillary had no new ideas for getting America rolling again. She can shout "jobs" all day in her speeches, but she didn't present anything that would give us anything new. Its more of the same. Even if Trump was a democrat and faced the same congress as President Obama, Trump would get things done because he knows how to use the bully pulpit. -

Dude...check out everyone that adopted Catholicism. From Italy to Ireland over to South America. Christians have old sins and the Muslims are popping off today. -
I'm a noob. Ask REPgb. I'm a political junkie. I assume those that were banned were vicious and attacked other members. I've done none of that. I assume I come from a different part of the country and walk of life than most members here. Quit trying to peg me as SuperSupremeBLMLiberal to diminish my views. I know it's tempting to want to label and dismiss. That's the easy route.

My point is any fool can shout things at a protest and the entire group gets the blame. You're blaming BLM but the arses shouting cop hate could be the same ones that come to start a riot. What about the BLM that met with law enforcement and help work through issues?

I agree Islam has a sect that is hell bent on mass destruction. There's also Muslims fighting ISIS right now. When it comes to safety at home I'm all for stop and frisk in the airports. Don't strip search a grandma from North Dakota. Grab d sweaty guy that looks like Bin Ladin. It's not PC but it will protect more ppl. For the record we've had "Christian" leaders support all sorts of atrocities. -

LMAO!!! The alter ego of Huffington Post -
Any idiot can join a protest and start spewing -ish. Quannel X n his buddies could jump in a BLM protest n chant "death to whitey" on video before being hushed. We saw the same with the infiltration of the Tea Party. The wack jobs jump in and the whole group gets unfairly labeled.

What's ur source for those numbers? -
I agree that 10 or is 20 African Americans being killed by cops n caught on video has turned into a bit of a civil rights movement. A reaction was warranted but these aren't the same cops that turned a blind eye to Lynch mobs up through the 1960's. Times are different. You guys go after BLM like ppl went after organizations in the 60's. "They should shut up n stop causing trouble." Let's pray all the deaths (cops and civilians) and protests lead to a better America. Also let's keep in mind the law abiding, God fearing, hard working minorities that have good kids that can be instantly labeled thugs by the clothes they wear or music they listen to. We need to protect those kids just as much as the police. Yeah, those kids do exist in large numbers. The evil liberal media focuses its time showing one segment of African Americans that are poor uneducated and friggin out of control. Those same fools are glamourized in rap music. They make it hard for the good people you work with that love this country and are doing the right thing.
