LAND95, this game just had me with a bad feeling in my stomach, I mean I sat in the stands and watched these coaches do the same thing you just mentioned, the head coach doesn't have a clue, the offensive coordinator, tries to run his offense around one kid and three and outs not gonna get it, against any team, this Carthage team made our kids look foolish 28 points in the first quarter and then the Jasper offensive coordinator still come out and attempt to run the quarterback when Spikes been catching the ball all night and Armstrong pounding the ball all night. The only good thing about this is that somebody finally snapped and put Bailey and Spikes on the same side of the field and Stubberfield at quarterback to start moving the ball down the field to Spikes and Bailey. I really don't see this team making the playoffs, but I still will support them no matter what.

If Jasper play like they have been playing the last 3 weeks, Carthage will win by at least 21 but if Jasper come out and play then I will give them a slight win by 7. Lets mix things up Offensive coordinator, for the last 3 weeks its no surprise on what you are going to do, Lets go Dawgs(Jasper).

Hey im a JASPER fan to the bone and any other time i would be upset about your words but man you are telling the truth Coach Brooks needs to make some changes on his staff cause our DB just getting beat we need to get it together real fast if we can.I know we run a spread Offense but teams are not worried about that anymore cause we do the same stuff man COACH Quick you need to mix it up. Land it sickens me to sit in the stands now,to see Jasper in the situation that they are n now, if things do not change quick, Jasper will be show casing their two explosive guards Spikes and Bailey real soon on the basketball court. Coach Quick you really need to mix it up.

I just met this kid the other night on a different situation and let me tell you he need to adjust himself to different situations, if he want to make it to the next level. Big kid though.

Is Armstrong a freshman? One of the announcers was raving last week about some freshman Jasper running back and I know Ellis is not a freshman. Armstrong is a sophomore and Ellis is a Senior Thanks. That rules him out. But that is still good for Jasper. Two more years of playing time! So, is Jasper playing a freshman, or perhaps it was a Silsbee defensive player? IMO, I don't think you can put in Jasper with the disappointment category...True, it looks disappointing because they don't have a good looking record right now, but they have played extremely tough games lately and they have been close in score. Vidor is definitly a decent surprise this year. You are right Jasper has played some tough teams and they will get things rolling just like last year.

Finally I got it and this is some interesting reading material on some local kids that I have followed. Jasper Bulldogs COUNT IT: 5-7 SR. DOMINIQUE BAILEY, 25ppg,4 apg 5-7 Sr. Kwame Spikes 16ppg, 5 apg; 5-8 Soph Brandon Weatherspoon; 6-5 Sr. Matthew Barrows; 6-6 Jr. Justin McCullough. 18-3a AND ONE: Bailey and Spikes will form one of, if not, the best guard combos in the state. Jasper is blessed with great guard depth, athleticism and some proficient shooters. Team will live and die with the development of the post play to go with the guards. 21-3a Silsbee Tigers Shannon Robinson 25 ppg, 7 apg; AND ONE: FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR, SILSBEE'S PLAYOFF RUN WAS ENDED BY AN EVENTUAL STATE CHAMPION. Last year, however, that ending came on the big stage of the Erwin Center in Austin, where the Tigers battled Kennedale. With Beaumont Enterprise MVP and TABC all state Robinson back for his senior year, the Tigers have their sights set on Austin once more.

Jasper by 7, maybe we can stay in the two back set, so bailey can get his numbers, along with Ellis and Armstrong. Hopefully the offensive coordinator has figured it out that you have to let Spikes touch the ball at least 6 times a game, he is averaging 25 yards a catch on 3 passes a game, lets mix this explosive offense up and let everyone get involved. The defense has been looking better the last two weeks, lets keep the high speed pace up on the quarterbacks.

I was thinking the same thing when I posted this, it is going to be a good game, Diboll has been clicking and Jasper need to come out red hot. We chased Jeremy Johnson all night in Silsbee, now we got to chase another quarterback in Diboll, but the only difference is that Diboll receivers will catch the ball, we got to be ready.
