  1. Ditto - Good Luck Broncos! Just clean fun between fans
  2. Believe it or not, I am posting that article just to kick the old ant bed. ;D [Hidden Content] Lumberton Stuns Dayton What a way to start district play. Lumberton scored with 14 seconds to play and then added a do-or-die two-point conversion to hand Dayton an 8-7 loss in Friday night’s Distict 22-4A opener. Dayton, the defending district champ, beat Lumberton 55-0 a year ago en route to a perfect record in district. Lumberton, 4-0, which averaged 44 points a game to start the season, didn’t dent the Bronco goal line until Raider quarterback Bryce DeJohn scored from a yard out with just 14 ticks remaining. Second-year head coach Alvin Credeur went for the game-winning two-pointer and saw his son Aaron on the receiving end of the DeJohn pass for the game winner. Dayton dropped to 1-3 on the season. Once again, the Dayton defense played well by forcing four Raider turnovers but the offense could not take advantage. Late in the third quarter, the Broncos had the games deepest penetration by moving down to the Lumberton 17-yard line before turning it over to the Raiders. After both teams traded punts, it was the special teams of the Broncos that penned Lumberton deep in its end as Jeffrey Summers’ punt was downed at the Raider 7-yard line. A few plays later, it was the Bronco defense recovering a Raider fumble at the Lumberton 23-yard line. A.J. Dugat scored two plays after that from 16 yards out on the option keeper to make it 6-0 Dayton. Ronnie Powell then booted the PAT kick with 7:24 remaining in the contest. Again the defense was strong and forced Lumberton to give the ball back but the Bronco offense could not run out the clock and was forced to punt. Taking over at their own 38-yard line with 1:51 remaining, the Raiders drove 62 yards on 14 plays for the game winner. A couple of big plays happened on the drive as Dayton was called for a questionable holding penalty as Lumberton was facing a fourth-and-15 from the Bronco 33-yard line. That gave the offense an automatic first down. Then DeJohn made perhaps the play of the game on a fourth-and-15 from the Bronco 30-yard line. Avoiding two would be Bronco tacklers, he hit Jacob Hanna for a 17-yard pass play to keep the drive alive. Four plays later, DeJohn went in from a yard out to set up the game winning conversion. Dayton did have one last hope as Dugat hit Powell for a 35-yard pass play down to the Lumberton 23-yard line with 1 second to go. Dugat was hit while trying to throw again, ending the Broncos’ hope. The Broncos finished the game with 277 yards of total offense as Dugat finished 15 of 25 passing for 173 yards. Powell led all receivers with a game-high eight catches for 99 yards. Next Friday, Dayton returns home to face Beaumont Ozen, a 21-19 loser to Port Neches-Groves in its league opener.
  3. Key word in the headline "scrimmage" Sheeeshhh - It was very apparent both teams had different agendas with this scrimmage. Dayton wanted revenge and Lumberton wanted to evaluate players and situations. Dayton is a very good team but come on, it was a scrimmage, not a distict game.
  4. Here are some pics from the game - All photos here Raiders vs Broncos Some samples below
  5. Raiders 38 Horns 14 Raiders will start the L-train rollin again!
  6. "You gotta hate to lose more than you love to win!"
  7. Not that many left early, maybe 20% which could have been other SETX fans. The Lumberton faithful stay and cheered
  8. We had a down game and Waller played a great game - They were the better team - No excuses here. Hold your head up high Raiders, you have been were no other has before. Great Season!! When does 2-a-days start?
  9. Big Train on the Track Coaches and Team Another A few more can be found here --> [Hidden Content]
  10. Let talk AFTER Friday night.... but for now, no one in Lumberton is worried about Dayton, who they played and the points they scored. NOTE to Coop - Hope your server can handle the "smack" capacity next week when 22-4a wins Friday night.
  11. Logging off now to go get my viewing spot!
  12. Ridin' the L-Train named DESTINY!!
  13. Is there a hidden meaning here you are trying to tell us? (hehe) Good job and like your predictions THIS week!
  14. I do too but it appears Dayton is looking at Lumberton instead of Livingston this week - Same way LaMarque was looking for a rematch with Yates last week.
  15. My thoughts exactly - This topic started back in early November before we made the playoffs. Of course now the replay is "Duuuuuuhhhh!"
  16. So Lumberton has the best winning playoff percentage of all time right now (100%, never lost a playoff game) - Good job on the stats.
  17. From TexasFootball.com (so you don't have to look it up L-Train fans) Class 4A MVP: Frenship hasn't been tested at all, so I ruled out RB Michael Connor, while Copperas Cove has been tested just once (opening-round win over Waxahachie), so I skipped over QB Robert Griffin. My pick: Lumberton RB Cody Hussey, who proved his season numbers (1,600-plus rushing yards) were far from hollow by leading his team with 141 yards and a TD in a historical 24-21 win over La Marque last weekend. (I'm not using the word historical lightly: Lumberton had never been to the postseason before this year yet beat the defending and five-time state champion. Congrats Cody and the O-Line
  18. Difference being, I am not worrying about Dayton / Livingston until Friday night at 10:30 pm
  19. Sure hope your not disappointed watching Lumberton and Livinginston play next week
  20. Look into Galena Park Stadium
  21. I vote for Galena Park Stadium - it is nice!
  22. Congrats Indians on a great season!
