  1. Does it really matter at this point? Are you just wanting to see Lumberton in the #1 spot since WB lost? What gives?
  2. Great read "It was a pretty awesome experience last week to come out for pre-games at 6 p.m. (in Barbers Hill's Eagle Stadium) and see half of the community of Lumberton already in the stands," said the younger Credeur. Keep it rolling guys - You ain't seen nothing yet!!!!!!!
  3. Do they search your stuff or what?
  4. It is very simple: Lumberton has NOTHING to lose and LaMarque has EVERYTHING to lose. Who do you think feels the pressure more?
  5. As a youngster, I was at that 1977 Plano / PNG game. A fond memory from that trip was all of the purple and white decorated cars heading up I-45. I will never forget one vehicle said "Down the Drano with Plano"! Funny what you remember when you are 8 years old!
  6. Also, what time the gates will open? Official 7:00 or 7:30 kickoff?
  7. Mr. LaMarque, you have been WARNED! Just remember that statement as you are watching it all unfold before your eyes! <--- I had to change my Avatar just for the LaMarque Fans! They have pictures of their rings, I have a picture of $$$ for us affleunt fans!
  8. See, as Lumberton Fans we don live in the past, we learn from it. Come Saturday morning, you can sit back an polish your rings and tell stories of how good you were back in ....... while we will be preparing for the next opponent!
  9. Attention ALL L-train fans, if you want some good quality comedy entertainment check out www.coogsports.net website. Click on the Lumberton thread. Theses guys do not have a clue about Lumberton. I am still laughing. Can't wait to hear that big THUD on Friday which will be the LaMarque jaws hitting the floor when the L-train is rolling. Yours Truly, Just another Affluent, Hillbilly Lumberton Fan!
  10. Quick, someone get LMCoog88 that phone number to Dayton and asked then how they felt leaving Lumberton on a Friday night back in September. It's OK, we understand, Big Bad LaMarque is going to run over the L-train since we haven't played anybody. Well, we played everybody on our schedule and one touchdown seperates us from a perfect record. Guess that is just pure luck huh??? You are right, the superior team will be quite evident on the field Friday! Just be able to say, "That Lumberton team looks like the old LaMarque teams that won state titles!"
  11. 8000 Lumberton fans??? Guys we have a population around 24,000 in the school district - Do you know of anyone NOT going to the game on Friday? Plus not to mention our 41 years of Alumni that is spread around Texas that will be in town for the holidays and attending the game. I think 8000 is a very low number. Last one out, turn out the lights!!
  12. AMEN Mav... Preach on brother! That was my point in my post although a bit sarcastic. The 2007 Cougars will play the 2007 L-Train - That past has no bearing unless the Cougars think the Raiders are a push over which I hope they do.
  13. What LaMarque fans don’t realize about the L-Train……. - We have already made arrangements for the Referees to be favorable to Lumberton - We have called special meetings to instruct the game officials on how to influence the game in certain situations. - Best one of all – We made arrangements to have a cold front blow through to effect the outcome Do you pick up on my sarcasms here? Who cares about past seasons? Are those players there today? NO! A favor to LaMarque fans, if you guys come up short on the scoreboard, PLEASE don’t whine, cry and make excuses. One of the L-train’s victims this year can not give credit to us and it has been since the last Friday in September since the loss. Let’s play the game and the best team will emerge! Good Luck to both teams.
  14. Believe he is referencing the Dayton distict game winning steak (dating back to 2006) that Lumberton ended
  15. 41 years of frustration turning into tears of joy! Hollywood could not write a script this good!!! Everything from here on out is icing on the cake!
  16. The L-Train just arrived back at Lumberton High School @ 12:15 am from Barbers Hill. There is a mass post-game celebration happening right now with firetrucks / police sirens and horn blazing. Fans lined the parking lot with emergency flashers as the team buses pulled in. A great scene!! This town has gone L-Train crazy. Thanks players for an early Christmas present.
  17. I think all three local news crews were there - KFDM had the live truck. It is the "feel good" story of the year.
  18. All I can say is ..... We hope to see the Broncos in Round 4!! What venue would Dayton like?
  19. So who will be the home team and get the home (bigger) side stands?
  20. What do we have to do to earn respect here? If they played Dayton today blab blab blab and yeah, if we played PNG today it would be a different story. I get the feeling from "some" that anything short of a State championship for Lumberton, we still would have doubters - shhhhesish. Remember Big MO is on our side too. Congrats Dayton and PNG for the 6-1 ditrict record and playoff births - Good Luck
  21. That would have been my thoughts exactly! Promote TEAM (No "I" in Team)
  22. Kinda ironic - Crosby's head coach is a Lumberton Graduate (Kevin Flanigan) - Would he call on his fellow alumni, Coach Credeur, to get the game plan on beating Dayton? Hmmmmmm.....
  23. One common opponet between these two - New Caney Lumberton 41 New Caney 6 Smiley 35 New Caney 31 Looks like both teams like the running game. Lumberton by 14
  24. Kinda ironic - Crosby's head coach is a Lumberton Graduate (Kevin Flanigan) - Would he call on his fellow alumni, Coach Credeur, to get the game plan on beating Dayton? Hmmmmmm.....
  25. Year: 57-15, .776 - That is a darn good record of picking games
