1.
I was at the game and know it to be true. Good luck anyway I guess iu would have to make things up if i were in desperate need as yall are.
I was at the game also.  Spoonbill is right.  Vidors JV won that game and the game really wasnt as close as the score ended up.  By far the best game Vidor had last year is the loss in the shoot out with PNG. ::)  That being said,  I dont think I would put Vidor in the top 4.  Maybe next year but you never know.
 2. I know all of us in Vidor Pirate Land are proud of you guys.  You have a special run going.  keep it up  and make us proud.
 3. :D :D :D :D :D :D :DNo COOP he needs to put done the keg.  He's had enough
 4. Boneyard, you should hace never posted on this thread.  The one that started it does nothing but bang on Vidor.  Hes real classy.
 5. Not a snowballs chance in H$$$
 6. WOS in a walk.  This ones not ever close.

 8.
I was told by a Kirbyville coach that Ford is a legit 4.5 guy, not 4.3. 4.5 in high school is blazing speed.
Yes it is.  4.5 is fast in high school.  But 4.3 come on.
 9. Dear Father in heaven, I praise and thank You for using the sport of Football to draw me closer to You. I want to play this game so it is not about me, but all about You. I need Your Spirit to be in total control of my thoughts, actions, emotions and words. Help me not to worship the sport, but to be thankful for the skills and interests you have given me and to use them for Your glory. Help me also to encourage my teammates toward growth and maturity with You. Guide our coaches in making wise choices and help them be the kind of leaders You want them to be. Please keep all players free from injury, according to Your will, and bring healing to those injured. Lord, I trust You to renew my strength in times of weakness so that You will be glorified in everything I do. Help me to praise You in victory and defeat. I love You and thank you for your love for us. I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen! Have a great season and stay safe.  Lets Go Pirates
 10.
I heard that Vidor had a chance to play longview but chicken out. If this statement is true, why not? longview is closer than Texas High.  ???
I heard that Vidor had a chance to play the Cowboys but chickened out ::).  Get real.  I wonder how many other football teams you are going to come up with that Vidor chickened out to play.  Vidors pre season schedule is much better this year.  Some people will never be happy.  Get a life.
 11.
I watched every Kirbyville game this year and i still dont believe that Ford runs a 4.3.  I'll give him a 4.4-4.5, as for the kids that ran him down, they all had a slight angle and if you have seen Ford run sometimes he goes into a short stride on those long runs.  The guy from Camden that ran him down didnt do it from srtaight behind and the next time Ford broke loose the guy didnt have a chance, I watched him pull away with my own eyes.
Im not questioning that the Ford kid is fast.  But when people get on here and start bragging about a kid running a 4.3 40 I have to go  ::).  Everyone pads stats such as height , weight, etc. in the rosters.  But it looks like that video is a recruting tape and I dont know if I would be putting he runs a 4.3 on the first thing you see on the video unless he runs close to that.  A 4.3 is world class speed and even at a slight angle he would never get caught from behind.
 12.

I'm still wondering who runs the 4.3???from either school.
[Hidden Content] the guy thats on this video
I guess the kid from camden that caught him from behind in the video runs a 4.0 40.  Please ::) :o
 13. Good pitching and creative scorekeeping with 3 errors
 14.
that was a great game. wasn't that the one where a png player kept drilling the fg holder helmet to helmet, but it never was called. i felt sorry for that kid. he was defenseless.
Thats the one.  He also happened to be the QB also.  But was a great game.

Livingston 6. Ozen 7. Lumberton
Ha were you waiting for someone to point out you missed LCM so you could trash-talk? Really, what is with you dissing LCM on every thread you comment on?  Seems to me like someone has a childish personal beef-am i right?  And don't bother denying it, b/c i have two other posts i can bring up.
Looks like Bear is living in glass houses and shouldn't be throwing rocks at anyone.  Look what you said about Vidor in this post.  Looks like someone needs to get out of the kitchen. ::)
 17. Wow,  here we go with all the haters again.  Lets not forget Matthews had Crosby scheduled but they backed out because of some sorry school board members in Crosby.  This preseason schedule looks better than the last couple of years.  Some people are never happy.  Go Pirates
 18. First,  Mr. Armstrong, you pitched a gem.  Give the credit were it needs to be.  Call him #2, #3, or whatever you want to call him,  Vince had a no hitter going until the end of the fourth.  I’ve seen him pitch from when he was 9 to now and he is a VERY good pitcher.  The pitching duel was broken up because Vidor decided to start playing soccer instead of baseball by the way they booted the ball all over the field.  Not if Trae was pitching or not.  That has nothing to do with Green or the way he managed the team last night.  I might not agree with some of the thing Green does but I AM NOT COACHING THE TEAM.  Keep up the good work Vince and Vidor "stop dropping the ball" or it won't make any difference who is pitching.
 19.
I'm laughing at all the smite karma I get for being honest.Somebody's gonna lose so get over yourselves.I've been around HS football since the 60's when I [email protected]'ve seen lots of good teams win and lose.I have yet to give Karma to any poster. All my Karma(applaud)goes to the coaches/players if I could give it.Some of you are honest and give opinions I respect. Some don't have a clue.If your guessing-go with the coaching staff's that work the hardest and have proven theirselves to bring out the best year after year after year. It's not just luck.
Great comment LIL.  You are right.  At this point whom ever works the hardest (Kids and Coaches)has the edge.  No more Luck now.    Go Pirates
 20.
I think we have some things mixed up here...Though I can't speak for anyone else, I see the "problem parents" as those that foam at the mouth in the stands, making all kinds of ugly comments to everyone around them regardless of whether others may want to hear them...I was one of these at one point in time...a boorish know it all.  I've mellowed, and I've also had experience on the "other side" of the coin...which is why I mellowed.  I don't see commentary on this forum about an AD/coach's preformance as bashing, but more of a discussion about where the team is headed, especially if it is 3 seasons into the guys contract, and the team and athletics in general has suffered.  You have to be respectful about it, but it's legit. In the stands screaming negatively, going on the field and bowing up on someone, standing by the dugout where a team can hear you mouthing off, all of these are the types of behavior that I think most of us are against.  Slamming on the refs?  Any idiot can do that...at least be creative and funny in your negative comments...beleive it or not, a ref or umpire will laugh, and maybe get the point better than when you look like you're going to burst a blood vessel.
Great post,  I think this really tells both sides of this argument.  Very well put
 21.
Any updates on Vidor JV LCM JV
Vidors  JV won 34-14
 22. it's the idiots that define the others though...when there are no rules in place, then the idiots feel they have every right to be over the top...that it's their "1st amendment right" or that a coach is in that job so he "has to take it". Bull...a coach is there to motivate the athletes, and get them to play better, and keep them safe on the field. SOmetimes, after many seasons of consistent failure, then you might have a case...but idiots see one loss as a world ending event. Look at the "Sheperd board member" thread...that lady with the electric horn, blowing it, on the VISITOR's field, using the VISITOR's electricity, felt it was her "right" to be an idiot...I am glad a board member from Shepered exercised his right,a nd cut electrical cord... I don't agree with the horn blowing all game long either. But a Board member destroying private property is way over the top. Whats next, go slash the girls tires. As for the "1st amendment rights" It gives you and I the right to differ in opinions and point of views and allows US to expresses them without repercussion. Like this web site. Lets face the only time these topics come up is when someone is complaining about a coach and they don't like it. When the coach is being praise and has his or her face all over the TV and newspapers like they where the best thing in coaching nobody complains. You take the good with the bad. If the coaches dint like the bad then stay away from the Limelight when things are going good. But that's no fun.. You know the old saying have your cake and eat it too. Just for the record. IN No WAY should a parent go out on a field to confront a coach or ref because of something that happened in a game. THATS CRAZY
 23. Look, I have been reading this thread and the First Amendment of the Constitution of the the United States gives us in this country the right to freedom of speech. That being said I also do not think it is open season on the coaches kids and family members because of decision they make on a football field. Leave the family out of it. As for the coaches instilling "life wisdom" to at least my kids the answer is no thanks. That what a PARENT is for. I do understand that some of these young men need that kind of guidance from there coaches because they don't get the support and in those cases I fell sorry for the coaches to even be put in that position and Lord please give them the strength and wisdom to handle those cases. But to sit here and act like these coaches don't bash some of there kids parents is ridiculous. It happens all the time. So lets not act like all coaches are saints because they are not. Do I question the decisions being made on the field both practice and game? yes. My fore fathers gave us that right. Freedom of speech is what makes this website so entertaining. For that I say thank God. But to say you cannot voice your opinion because it might get into a coaches feelings then maybe they might need a career change. Sorry for the rant, but when my Constitutional Rights in this country start to get trampled on I get a little upset. Keep speaking up SE Texas and SETX.com. This is what makes this country strong. God Bless
