Just got back from the Vidor PNG JV game. Wow, What a game. PNG had the chance to kneel on the ball and win but decided to get another score and did. Kicked it to Vidor and Vidor returned the kick for a td. Then, instead of kneeling this time they decided to try and score again and the Vidor coaches had there team let them score with out any resistance which made the 50-43 after the missed extra point. (That move by the Vidor coaches at that point was brilliant, it gave us a chance to win with a score and a two point conversion) But we couldn't punch the ball in after that. Great Game. This was for the JV title. No other programs out there can touch these two. Fantastic Football game. Good job PNG. This rivalry will be going on for a couple of years because most of both JV's area Sophomores. Best entertainment for 5 bucks you can have. Ill have to add to the concern of the constuction and traffic at the Junior High. The stop sign at the school is very dangerous so PLEASE be careful crossing there. Watch the traffic to the right. They do fly down 12. Good Luck

I heard their jv was pretty good! Ozen JV in a close though Ozen JV 28 Vidor JV 21 vidor's jv is undefeated so far. they are very good. all of the skilled position players could step right in for a varsity player. they are loaded at rb. Vidors JV won 28 to 26. Could have been worse but they shot themselves in the foot twice from inside the 5.

don't even start, you had the best refs money could buy Then we need to spend our money better seeing how we had more penalties called on us than ya'll did. And can we set the record straight on exactly WHY the flag was picked up against Lumberton? Wasn't it because, before 10 yards you can't chop but after 10 you can...and it was after 10 yards...so the flag should NOT have been thrown in the first place? like a few of us have been saying! it's over now it doesn't matter. we can't what if! iwhat if yall had won would you even mention ref calls then prob not.the refs do the best they can at calling a game! but like said doesnt really matter now anyways. so let's move on and get ready for next weeks game! ok I know it doesn't matter. Actually if you read todays Beaumont Starship Enterprise, the Offenses are identical for Livingston and Vidor. BTW, although not the marquis players like Mr. Quinton over there in Livingston, they do use multiple backs. You actually believe stuff you read from the Beaumont surprise sports section? That's funny, I was at the game too and Vidor beat Lumberton all night. Its funny how some home cooking with the refs gives us chop block penalty's and they pick the hankies up for Lumberton. If it wasn't for that Vidor would have blown them out. It must be the smoke and train horn that makes the game look that different from each side line. :( :( :( Great job Vidor!!! You will never get these cry babies to admit they got spanked.

It was mostly (or all) jokes. No one has said how many pages a thread can go or should go. I find it humorous that one of the longest threads ever in the high school football forums is about a meaningless scrimmage. More power to 'em. That is what keeps this site a good one. Maybe this thread can keep me humored for another 30 pages or so. No one should take it any more than just ribbing however. Any more than that and someone is taking life and high school football too seriously. Maybe not life but definitely HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

Just wanted to take the time out and thank Twin County and Winnie for being fantastic hosts this year for the Pony division. Those fields out there in Winnie looked great all year. As always you folks out in Sour Lake were great. We played our last game out in Sour Lake last night and got one more in Winnie to finish our season. So, from the coaches and kids form the Vidor A's I would like to thank you. Its been great. ;D

I think the all-star teams to be from vidor little league would question your statement that their league isn't as strong. There may be a few more kids in vybl but i would say the talent is comparable. Although we do let every kid play every game. I wasn't trying to say anything negative about Vidor LL. I was just making a comment about the numbers.I apologize if you took it that way. And we also let every kid play every game, and all the way to pony we bat the line up not just nine. Well at least one of the teams in the Pony division does anyway. Great job guys. We looked really strong in Shetland and Pinto. Congrats

I have a son turning 14 this weekend and we are trying to find out if there any select baseball teams having tryouts for summer ball coming up?

I know Vidor had the championship in the Bronco directors toury last year.

Is the team looking for more players? If so will there be another tryout?
