The new kid (Jones) will be special unless something goes horribly wrong. He'll certainly get lots of exposure with the Tigers heading back to Arkansas and New Orleans this year. Most think Coach Sigler retires when he graduates, but there's a catch. His little brother will be entering high school by then. Coach Sig is going to be coaching into his mid 70s if he changes his mind. Might get to 1000 wins though.

I just want to see Silsbee play a clean game against Liberty next week. No bad penalties and no turnovers. They get into the habit of doing that, and they'll be fine. They'll probably have to rebuild for a few seasons after this, so lets make this year count for as much as we can.

Mustang defense needed to step up when they took a 14 - 7 lead. Shouldn't have let it get to OT.

Looking forward to seeing the new Jones/Johnson back court for Silsbee. They both been putting in serious work. Doesn't hurt that the old Harris/Miller combo is still there this year either. I'm going to boldly predict the Tigers at least make it back to region finals.

LCM gave Silsbee a push in the second game they played last year. They eventually gave out cause of no depth, but they were winning that game for a bit. I'm gonna need to see this new Bridge City. Do they get transfers or is this the same team as last year just a little more grown up? Looked like they just wanted to get the game over with when they played at Silsbee last year.

West Orange could have had 13, but that receiver for WOS had possibly the dumbest penalty of the night, and that is saying a lot for this game. Good news for the Tigers is they have Hardin Jefferson, a bye week, then Liberty next. So that's three weeks off to clean things up and get on the right path.

Part of me wants to see Coach Smith lay down the law. You get a stupid 15 yard penalty, you sit down for the rest of the game. Of course, he's also expected to win football games. People will be complaining about why we lost to ______ if he has to sit a few key players in a tight game. I just know the Jasper game is gonna look similar to this if nothing changes.
