Not bad. It's better than Bush's last year before football was over. I remember him scoring 40+ and the Tigers would sill end up losing by almost 30 points. -

Going by their record, Angleton looks like a pretty good squad. Win or lose, Silsbee competing well with them is good. 65 - 59 now. Tigers down. -

Tigers get a win! Silsbee 50 Willowridge 43 No, I don't care how bad FB Willowridge is supposed to be. On a side note, I thought Dallas Madison was never coming back to the YMBL? -
Cartwright has come on really strong for Silsbee these past few games. The Tigers don't need Miller to do everything. As far as records go, who cares. All that matters is who plays better on Friday. Doesn't matter if you barely won against halfway decent teams early in the year or not. Cuero ISD is supposed to be steaming the game for those who can't make it.

Texas usually gets Cali and Florida schools from out of state. Duncanville played a Florida schools this year. Atascocita did play a Nevada school. It wasn't pretty, but I think Nevada is just Bishop Gorman mainly. Not sure any other team matters in that state the majority of the time.

There's a vid of their first game against South Grand Prairie on Youtube if anyone wants to see them. They're either REALLY BIG up front or SGP has a small defensive line. Edit: they're big. TV o-line: 5’10 305 6’1 313 6’3 325 6’6 316 6’7 315

DLS was supposed to play North Shore in 2020, but covid put a stop to that. Mater Dei head coach is stepping down after this year. Be interesting to see if it impacts the program in the long run.

Most of the people riding Bosco or MD couldn't tell you where either school is located in Cali if their life depended on it. Either one of these schools decline like DLS and it'll be like they never existed.

Fort Bend Marshall (21) vs Port Neches-Groves (29) - FINAL
Tigers94 replied to Reagan's topic in High School Football
Unfortunately, Fort Bend Marshall. I've been told by people who've watched Marshall play that this might be the most complete team FBM has had. I suppose anything can happen though, so give'em hell and we'll see. -
Troy Rice.

Lumberton (23) vs Tyler Chapel Hill (35) - FINAL
Tigers94 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Question is can Lumberton keep this up or are they gonna be a one or two hit wonder? Success can do a lot for a program, so long as there's some talent in the area. -
If they play to the best of their abilities, Tigers by 7. I think Carthage and maybe Wimberley are the only two teams Silsbee would be an underdog against.

Silsbee (60) vs Madisonville (21) - FINAL

Pro tip for Cuero. Never double or triple team Miller. Don't do that and you're sure to win. Remember, single coverage only 👌 -

Silsbee (60) vs Madisonville (21) - FINAL
Tigers94 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Would like to think the Tigers are getting hot at the right time, but I don't think Madisonville is that good. I guess we'll see next week. -
My bad. Happens when you're keeping up with 5 games at once. I don't think Gilmer had their starting qb.
-
Looks like Gilmer is giving Carthage all they want. Even more impressive if they don't have their starting qb. Edit - Nevermind

Port Arthur Memorial (7) vs Longview (51) - FINAL
Tigers94 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
PA should have about 21 right now if they'd stop shooting themselves in the foot. -
Carthage should beat everyone in 4AD2 by 3 or 4 TDs on average. Any talk outside of that is just speculation. Of the teams in 5AD2 now, I'd take South Oak Cliff or FB Marshall. SOC gave Duncanville all they wanted before district and Dville is about 10x better than anyone Carthage has played. They might have actually won that game if they'd switched quarterbacks. 5AD1 I'd take Longview, Aledo, Timberview, College Station, Lancaster and maybe even PA if they can hang with (or beat) LV this week. Is easy to look big and bad against helpless teams. What's the Bulldogs most impressive win? Kilgore? And has it been confirmed Gilmer's starting qb ain't playing? Going to be an ugly game if true.

Thing is schools like Liberty Hill and Argyle are pulling from 5A student population numbers now to do what they're doing. Could Carthage win one game against a 5A? Sure, but that's not the same as running a 5A playoff gauntlet. You're not always gonna be resting your starters after halftime. You might be in a dog fight every game after round 1. They'd either get worn down or somebody would eventually get them. I think a China Springs rematch would be a close ballgame. CS is huge up front. They wouldn't get pushed around.
