Okay went and watched the BH game footage. It was nice to see this wasn't just the Harris show. Think Silsbee won by 8 - 10 points. Not bad for half the team missing.

One thing I've noticed is Rice (tall white kid) has gotten a lot better compared to where he was at his freshman year. Seen him make a number of plays he wouldn't have made last season.

The Elliot kid at LCM is pretty good.

Looks like the party is over. All those players about to run elsewhere. It's gonna hurt as a Tiger fan if FF is stripped though. Just imagine how Atascocita basketball is feeling right now. That's how Tigers fans are gonna be feeling. I guess BU has a good shot in 6A after all now.

Duncanville - 41 Desoto - 17 Eagles got taken to the woodshed. It really wasn't that close. We may get a Dville/NS state finals yet again.

From what I've heard Atascocita should only get better in the future. They've supposedly got some good classes and athletes on the way up. It doesn't hurt that they'll probably be close to 4K kids soon either. I didn't like their offensive gameplan last night, but just because they're not quite ready to take down a big dog like NS or Katy doesn't mean they can't and won't in the future. Sometimes the other team is just a bit better though.

Silsbee ain't on the level of a Carthage or Gilmer, I'm afraid. Taking off my Tiger glasses for a minute, the few teams they've played that were decent could have beaten them. Taking down WOS isn't that special of an accomplishment this year. Nederland ain't that great either and almost came back and won. HF is a solid team, but nothing they should have struggled with that badly. I'm honestly 50/50 on if they can win in Jasper. I'd personally consider 3rd round and beyond a successful season. If they can do more than that that'd be great.

Y'all talking about #99 he was clearly the biggest kid out there. Don't know about his height, but his weight looked to at least be in the 350 range. Playoffs should be interesting. We got Desoto/Duncanville tomorrow. Denton Guyer looks like the best team in the state right now.

Cita just keep throwing the ball down the field over and over again most the time. That might work against lesser teams, but not tonight.

Cita defense is gonna get worn down with all these three and outs from the offense.

Does Atascoita even know what a screen or slant pass is?

Think that hit on the kicker made Atascocita mad. Like to see them do more on offense than deep throws and long roll out passes.

Good lord. Just put Bridge City on the bus and send them home at halftime.

Everybody is coming back except for 2 players. They lost one kid who sometimes started. Bench should be better than last year. One player who got injured early last year and didn't play should be back, and some other younger players should be able to step up more.

Well to be fair Bridge City had a pretty good b-ball team year before last. Football though, they're screwed. Tigers just need to make it out of games like this injury free. Gonna be conservative here and go 49 - 7.

Looks like Silsbee at Jasper will be for 1st place in a few weeks. That's unless Hardin Jefferson or Bridge City step up big next week.

I'd highly recommend people go watch the last few minutes of this one. Crazy game.

I've said I was cautiously optimistic about the Tigers this year and this is why. Still a good win.

You can't duck anyone if your goal is a ring is how I see it. The only problem with that might be if a team like FF got in trouble, it'd be better to have played them in the finals.

Goodness. We may go into district just a little over 500 with that schedule.

Tigers by 10 if they play a fairly penalty/turnover free game.
