BTW has about 3 kids in the 6'7 range. One of them has never seen a 3 pointer he didn't like. I thought they would have folded in the 4th an BU would get the win though. Oh well. On to Carter.

Really curious to see how BU plays Washington and Carter.

Lancaster came close to taking down Longview earlier this year. I'd imagine PA has similar athletes to them, so maybe they can pull it off. How good is PA's run defense?

Tigers by 14. Only worries is them maybe playing a hot team and turnovers. They should win though.

It would be best if we all accept the fact that Silsbee ain't winning anything till football is over and be at peace with it. Not gonna beat PA and they're definitely not gonna beat Wyatt with this bunch coming up. Having said that, it's going to be a really fun season when we get 75 percent of our roster back. Perhaps one of the most fun ones in years.

It's hard cause I'm sure he feels like he has to try and force things in games like today. If they were playing lesser teams, it might would be different till the rest of the squad is here. Tiger starters for today's game: Harris Boulwin Dean Rice Shoulders So that's four starters they were missing.

Quinton Shoulders is #14 for Silsbee. Tigers might have won today if they didn't miss 30 free throws.

I'd like to see a cleaner game, but the Tigers are who they are at this point. Doubt it magically changes by next week. So we can probably beat Smithville, which will likely lead to a matchup with Bellville. That's when things could get more interesting.

Westfield was a top 10 6A squad last year. Not surprising a 4A school missing more than half their players had it rough. We'll see how things go Saturday.

They really beat a team 96 - 0 this year. Tells you all you need to about some of the teams in district. Might be in for a rude awakening when they play somebody with a pulse.

I remember Ben Bronson. Looked like the dude could sling a football 50 yards from his knees if he had to.

I don't think a lot of Tiger fans think Silsbee is that amazing. They've beat up on weak teams and did just enough to beat the other ones. Doesn't matter though. All that matters is winning now. Who cares about style points. Get that W.

Nothing wrong with a mistake as long as you learn from it. Just forget about it and come back strong. and some of y`all better be careful if you don't want a certain player's parent making a comeback on these forums.

China Spring handled Carthage last year. They're good again this year and also very big in the trenches. Too bad they're D1 now. I wouldn't say they're unbeatable in 4A. They're looking like a big fish in a small pond this year. Gonna make for some really boring playoffs.

Not sure who #14 is. Hope to get a roster when they play Dobie in 10 days at home.

Okay went and watched the BH game footage. It was nice to see this wasn't just the Harris show. Think Silsbee won by 8 - 10 points. Not bad for half the team missing.

One thing I've noticed is Rice (tall white kid) has gotten a lot better compared to where he was at his freshman year. Seen him make a number of plays he wouldn't have made last season.

The Elliot kid at LCM is pretty good.

Duncanville - 41 Desoto - 17 Eagles got taken to the woodshed. It really wasn't that close. We may get a Dville/NS state finals yet again.

From what I've heard Atascocita should only get better in the future. They've supposedly got some good classes and athletes on the way up. It doesn't hurt that they'll probably be close to 4K kids soon either. I didn't like their offensive gameplan last night, but just because they're not quite ready to take down a big dog like NS or Katy doesn't mean they can't and won't in the future. Sometimes the other team is just a bit better though.

Silsbee ain't on the level of a Carthage or Gilmer, I'm afraid. Taking off my Tiger glasses for a minute, the few teams they've played that were decent could have beaten them. Taking down WOS isn't that special of an accomplishment this year. Nederland ain't that great either and almost came back and won. HF is a solid team, but nothing they should have struggled with that badly. I'm honestly 50/50 on if they can win in Jasper. I'd personally consider 3rd round and beyond a successful season. If they can do more than that that'd be great.

Y'all talking about #99 he was clearly the biggest kid out there. Don't know about his height, but his weight looked to at least be in the 350 range. Playoffs should be interesting. We got Desoto/Duncanville tomorrow. Denton Guyer looks like the best team in the state right now.
