  2. Silsbee person here. Can you show me where I stated something along those lines?
  3. Kimball has a really good looking big man from what I can tell. Still, I'll take BU by 10. Gonna take more than one kid to beat United. The only thing I would sorta worry about is them peaking too soon against Glenn. Kimball will give them more of a fight than that.
  4. I'm glad FF lost, but just how much roster strengthening are they gonna be doing for next year now.
  5. Silsbee normally gets called for more fouls than the teams they play. People complain when the count is way unbalanced in favor of the other team.
  6. Pretty sure at least one Tiger parent post on these forums. Not that simply pointing out a kid had a bad game is somehow crossing any sort of line. Nothing to be ashamed of having an off night. Even professionals have off nights. Just keep working and it'll be time for some payback next year ✊
  7. Harper, Jones, Miller and Harris were the regular starting lineup. All freshman and sophomores. Gilder was the lone senior starter. Silsbee might actually be even younger next year. Those 3 freshman that were on the team this year weren't the only ones that could play. I'd expect at least one or two more of those kids to get moved up. Also might have two current 8th graders that'll make the team.
  8. Big man (#4) for Kimball ain't bad at all.
  9. Tiger rim defense has been bad for a long time. Even in the years they were going to state it wasn't good. I'm hoping we take one or two of our upcoming freshmen next year and let them know what their main job is.
  10. Well this post didn't age well, and it's only been about 20 minutes 😄
  11. Did Lancaster have their roster fully assembled for that early season game? Might not mean much if they didn't. Good to see the showdown still on as of right now.
  12. Duncanville beats Waxahachie tonight. 70 - 65
  13. They'll likely get it next year. Depends on how fast some of our new editions develop next season. Did pretty well for a rebuilding year. Just picked a bad time to go to brick city tonight.
  14. Borne actually knocked PA Lincoln out at state one time back in the day. Program does have a bit of tradition going for it.
  15. I'm sure there will be a Netflix special soon. Probably a three part series. That Harris rumor was quickly put to rest when it started on here. He can be the man (alone with Miller) in Silsbee and get more exposure. Silsbee is always in Dallas and San Antonio playing before district starts. Some of these kids being friends is how these rumors get started in the first place. I remember when Kasen Harrison was supposed to "finish out his high school career in Silsbee."
  16. It's a down year. Some teams aren't as loaded like they've been in the past (Yates) and others are just starting to get it together (Silsbee). It also seems like more teams were hit by the injury bug this year. Things wont stay that way for long. I'm sure Yates will figure something out. Silsbee should start to hit their stride next year. Other teams like Hamshire Fannett could make some serious noise. Teams that are usually good year in and year out will probably remain so. You might want to look out for Waco Connally, too. They had two good freshman on their squad. It ain't all of Texas though. Lancaster, Faith Family and Duncanville are as loaded as ever. The Metroplex always knows how to build teams.
  17. I think I worry about Huffman going nuts from the 3 point line more than anything. We've seen teams do that to us this year and build temporary decent leads. A better team does it to us, they may be able to pull away and keep that lead. Interesting to see Somerset beat Stafford. Don't know who we'd play if we win this, but if it ain't Carter or Faith Family, we got a decent shot at the finals.
  18. One good point for Silsbee is we have a solid 10 kids that can really go. You can't just shut down one or two players and that be good enough. That's a far cry from the team a year ago. Kinda wish Bush got to play with this bunch for his senior year, but that's a meaningless wish.
  19. A fancy record over the years doesn't mean anything if you got nothing to show for it. At the very least a few region appearances would be expected if you're that good. I heard somewhere this was Huffman's first time past round 3. Some teams have those records cause they hardly ever challenge themselves. Look at how Hamshire Fannett handled them and their fancy record last year. It's no wonder they didn't want that other kid to play for Fannett this season. Not saying Silsbee is gonna win. I didn't expect Silsbee to be playing past playoff game number 2. This is still a young team rebuilding. Everything has just been icing on the cake these past few games.
  20. Oh that's not good at all. BU by 20 if that's the case. I see a lot of second chance put backs for the Wolves unless that one kid is an absolute monster. I'd try to get him in foul trouble early.
  21. From listening to the Lumberton game, it sounds like Hargrave is really good at drawing charges. Some of our kids (especially Miller) needs to watch themselves with that. HH seems to be on a roll, but so are we. I'll take Silsbee by 4. One thing that does sorta concern me is Silsbee hasn't really played many good teams that like slow ball. Need to jump on them early and force the issue a bit.
  22. 19/25 from the free throw line. See what happens when you make most your free throws.
  23. Usually it's just Ira and Jacob Brooks besides Coach Sigler.
