Drives me nuts when one player tries to dribble out of the press all by himself. Gotta pass the ball and help each other out.

Assuming they lose the next two games, they could still win out right if they beat Lumberton again, so I guess you're right. Still, these boys can't get caught slipping at all against any team when they get back.

Well there goes district 😞 How bad is Vidor? Maybe, just maybe, we can pull that one off and come away tied for first place.

He's not as fat as James Harden currently is and plays harder for his team. Probably has a better attitude too. Gotta give the kid some credit.

Stats for Silsbee. This was definitely a growing pains sort of game. Decided to give it the C effort after the first quarter. Coaches need to get on them getting out hustled on the boards and making so many bad passes tonight. And get to practicing on them free throws.

Silsbee is always gonna get the best effort of other teams. They need to understand that. All the more reason to bury an opponent when you have them down like early tonight. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of games are like this. Get caught slipping and we may lose one. Had some uncharacteristic turnovers right when it looked like we were gonna pull away (again), and most every time WOS turned that into points. It's just youth showing. They'll learn.

Atmosphere at this game is bad. And Silsbee needs to learn to bury teams when we got them down.

Hope we can avoid a 3rd quarter funk tonight. Been having too many of those this year.

I think it's just really hard to three peat at this level no matter how good you are.

To think this will be the weakest Silsbee team anyone will see over the next 3-4 years. Gonna miss our seniors a little more then I initially thought though. I hope we can make it as far as what can be realistically expected for them this year.

Here let me say something nice about Raider basketball. Those other two games Lumberton played Silsbee tonight, they came out and were playing to win. Just a few short years ago, they would of had that deer in headlights look as soon as the ball was tipped off. They played hard tonight and didn't look scared at all, even though they did end up losing by 20 (freshman game). And really I'm starting to think our freshman team could beat the JV one. I really like Coach Mitchell. He was trying get it through his kids head all night to toughen up. Y`all had better hope he sticks around for a while.

McClure was probably 49 out of 50 from the free throw line. He did step it up a bit in the 3rd quarter. Honestly he didn't look like he wanted the ball in the first half, though. That other big kid Lumberton had was going off for a few minutes at first, then disappeared. I was proud of the way we played tonight. Lots of players made big contributions that weren't named Miller or Harris. Two in particular were Lamarcus Bottley (another freshman) and Mason Brisbane. They made big defensive stops to pad that lead going into half time. Trey Haynes stepped up big time in the 4th. Gilder was also big tonight and provided the senior leadership this team sometimes needs. It was a great all around team effort. Really getting sick and tired of people crying about our players. You either need to get tougher, or go watch some other less physical sport. I'm done hearing it. There's teams out there that will do you a lot more "dirty" than Silsbee. What are you gonna do when/if you play one of them? Fold and complain I guess. I sat right behind the Raider bench and Coach Mitchell himself told his kids to stop being soft.
