Playing Lake Olympia in case anybody is wondering. Hope we can hang on and get the win. Probably the biggest challenge these kids have faced so far in their very young basketball lives.

Glad we've made it this far. Still think this next game will be a serious challenge.

From what I can tell, it's looking like Lake Olympia might be our biggest threat in this tourney. Think they play West Lake next.

Their argument seems to be they lose a lot of kids to private and academy schools, so everything evens out in the end. I'm sure they do lose kids, but it's still a tremendous advantage when select kids choose to stay and the schools manage to remain in the 3A - 4A classes. Afraid there's really nothing that will be done about it. Technically they're playing by the rules.

Was it 26 or 36 for the other team? App I'm looking at says 26. Looking at some pics from these games, one of these schools look like they have 11th and 12th graders on their squad😲 Not saying they actually do. It's just looks like it. Definitely gonna be a challenge to win the whole thing.

Yeah....I remember them having a big post player that used to give Silsbee fits. I think Ernest was his name, not 100 percent sure. Also had a kid that looked like Vince Carter in the dunk contest when they played us. Anyways, I'm glad Silsbee will be playing this modern version of Livingston. Still don't want them to look past anyone.

Guess Livingston just ain't what they used to be from when I was a kid. Back when them and Silsbee were in the same district, it seemed like they always had a lot of size and at least one or two kids that could jump out of the building.

Think Silsbee is done for today. Next game looks to be at 12:00pm tomorrow against M.C. Williams.

Bush got one steal that lead to a 5 point lead. Harper had the other one that put the game away.

That tech on HJ doesn't seem like a big deal with how the 3rd quarter played out for the Hawks. Missing free throws when the game was tight mattered more. One of their players (think is was Sears) missed two big free throws with a little under a minute and a half left.

PA might could give Yates a game. They've got their own big kids to try and counter Yates, and they did beat a top 6A team this year. Not sure what to make of Nederland. Silsbee actually got slaughtered by PA, but that was to be expected given the circumstance. They did beat Ned. Really like to see Harper develop a better shot this off season. The fact that him and Williams gets to play in such an important game speaks volumes of where they're at right now and they're only freshman. I like Cartwright coming off the bench. It just seems to work better. I just hope we've seen the last of bad Silsbee. Tigers could lose to almost anyone if they make a come back for the playoffs.

I know we're happy no Yates this year unless we make it to region, but Silsbee really can't afford to overlook anyone in these playoffs. Really have to like #2 for HJ. You wouldn't know he even plays basketball by looking at him. Almost did us in though.

Really got to work on teaching our young cats to stay out of foul trouble. They get a little excited and go overboard at times and put themselves out of the game. Happened tonight with Harper. I'm sure we're gonna die by the 3 pointer eventually. Hopefully it won't be for a while. Need to shoot the ball against HJ like we did against Lumberton. Much, much better job on defense tonight also.

Doubt we make it to 100. Bench will likely play most the 4th.
