  1. If this were last year, you're probably right. Not gonna be the case this season. Don't have the firepower we used to have and the roster is always changing still. Considering WO-S has the athletes to play Silsbee though, Tigers by 10 - 12 would be more realistic.
  2. Yeah... how tall is Chris Miller? That's about how tall I'd expect his son to get. Think his name is Dreylyn. You don't have to rely on one class for size anyways when you get to high school. Of course these kids should grow plenty still anyways.
  3. 23 is Harper. He still starts sometimes. He started all the games for the little kitten version of Silsbee. Wasn't sure if they moved him down to JV so he could get more playing time or not.
  4. Yeah, he's listed as one on the Tiger football roster. Edit: Did Jerrick Harper get moved to JV?
  5. I thought Bridge City was supposed to have a respectable squad this year. Score shouldn't be that surprising, so long as they didn't actually win. The new Williams kids makes, I think, 3 freshman on this Tiger team now. Man were getting young.
  6. Think the 8th graders have a game coming up at home soon. I've seen two different schedules telling me two different things, so not 100 percent certain on that. Plan to try and see them at least once or twice as well. Should be interesting when our current freshman players like Harper and Jones with are combined with them next year on one team.
  7. I didn't realize Thomas wasn't going to be on the team this year, so I count him along with Harmon and now Cartwright.
  8. He shouldn't have bothered playing at all if you're gonna quit on your teammates that easy. That makes at least 3 kids, probable starters, that were expected to be on the team that aren't now.
  9. The way Martin has been playing so far this year, if he were 6`4 or taller, he'd be getting offers to play at the next level.
  10. Think this is a first, but Bush did not lead the team in scoring. Martin had 23. Followed by Bray with 18 and Cartwright with 15.
  11. Well...I stand corrected 🤷‍♂️ Been a while since we played this many games in a consolation bracket.
  12. Not 100 percent sure on this, but I don't think there is. I don't recall Silsbee playing more than 2 games in the consolation bracket before in these tournaments.
  13. Leading scorers for the Tigers: Bush - 26 Martin - 15 and 4 block shots. Cartwright - 11 Gilder - 10
  14. Ursports also reports 91 - 59. Not sure what's up with that if it's not right.
  15. Eh.... Christmas hangover 🍗🥩🥃🥧 Wouldn't be too worried about what happens in Dallas. Just be ready to go to war once district starts.
  16. That poor Duncanville freshman QB just wasn't ready for this. I'm sure he'll be a stud in the future. Would have been a different game if Jackson had played.
  17. Lol. I guess next year Miller and Harris will be driving over from Beaumont too.
  18. Martin had 24 points and 5 steals. Cartwright had 18 points. Gilder had 12 points, I think, all from 3 pointers.
  19. 1 - 0 Ned. Look for Cartwright to get Silsbee on the board soon in a game, though. He was tossing them down easy in warm ups.
  20. Gonna take some time to get him into shape. I don't think I've ever seen a team make 3s the way Nederland did in the first half tonight. Maybe Dallas Carter in the state finals a few years ago was close to that. I'm glad they started missing some in the second half.
  21. Enough to shut up the stupid "overrated" chants by the Bulldog students. That and their dumb barking. Not sure the final stats, but Martin and Gilder played like men tonight also.
