Plenty of new editions on the JV team tonight. They're playing with twice the roster size. Maybe we'll see a few more on varsity as well.

Silsbee should have won this game by 10 -12 points. Gave LaGrange a few points off technical fouls. I get it. We're gonna have to be a tough and scrappy bunch this year, but no need to give the other team free points from too much jawing. There was a minor pushing match the first play of the game. Tiger defense is WAY more physical with Brisco, Gilder, and Martin starting. Teams have been running through us like hot butter. Not tonight. It's obvious Jayce doesn't have his basketball legs yet. Gonna have to slowly work him into shape these next few weeks. Shouldn't really expect the world from him in his first high school game ever anyways. LaGrange is gonna run their big man into the ground the way they play him. He was clearly exhausted and couldn't get much to any rest. Only 1 for 2 on dunks. He did have probably 6 or 7 blocked shots.

So this Coach Tigee was one of the Lumberton coaches last year? Sat right behind the Raider bench a few games (Fr, JV, all on them). Never heard a word from any coach I'd consider outrageous or over the line. They were pretty tame in comparison to some of the others out there. Almost too nice, but I guess we all have different standards for what "harsh" is.

Jones was at least shooting the ball around during warm ups last home game. Thing about him is he's a thick 6`5. Built more like the Port Arthur kid. Think he's around 220 or 230 pounds.

Guyer takes it 35 - 17. They gotta be the favorites to win it all now.

Biggest thing in United's way is gonna be Duncanville. That won't happen till state though. No reason they can't win region and make it, although it won't be a cakewalk.
