Freshman class this year isn't good (besides Payton obviously) and the 8th graders aren't much better from what I've seen. It's a combo of some lackluster classes coming up and some kids just choosing not to play. Silsbee has some exceptional looking groups at the junior levels, so that little dry spell won't last, but people are gonna need to hang in there and be patient. Payton will get to do his thing, but I'm a little concerned about what they're gonna surround him with starting in 26. I'm just basing this on what I've seen up to right now. A lot can change from year to year, so you never know. May need to borrow a few more from Marshall Middle School though 🤷‍♂️

I'm afraid Silsbee might be in for some lean years for a little while after this. People had better enjoy this season while it last.

I'll be looking for Silsbee to do a better job of taking care of the ball and getting defensive boards and loose balls. We gotta get this mess cleaned up. It's not likely gonna matter in district, but it will eventually when they play a good team.

That one Bridge City kid was a little too proud of himself after making a block and tried to act tough on a previous play. The refs probably wanted to make it clear they wouldn't tolerate the Tigers responding to that in any way, so Harris gets a tech for twitching the wrong way.

Congrats, Indians. To be honest, I didn't think y`all had much of a chance. Glad I was wrong about that.

People who want live streams for the home games need to bookmark the Silsbee Huld now. The Bridge City game is not currently on their Youtube page. Was at the game, so I don't know if it was live streamed from there or not. [Hidden Content] and I believe Jones had 21 points tonight for the Tigers. Man if he gets to be as big as any of his brothers you better look out. Even if he ends up being the runt of the bunch, he's gonna do some serious damage next season.

A lot of district games for Silsbee play out like this. The other team will have a 3 - 5 minute hot spurt at some point in the game, and you start to think maybe "it" could happen. When it's all said and done the Tigers usually still end up winning by 30+. Swear I hold my breath every time Rice or Boulwen put the ball on the floor. They're good players for us, but not in that area of the game.

I wouldn't overreact to one game. Sometimes it just isn't your night. They take a few beat downs in the Allen tourney, then it might be time to worry. I've watched BU 3 times this season, and honesty, this team ain't as scary as the ones they've had in the past. They're still really good though.

Silsbee will play in their district opener this Friday. They need to make sure to handle their opponent appropriately. Be nice it we could get near 100 percent healthy before some of these big tournaments.

Is BU playing in any big tournaments in December? Saw where they weren't going back to Arkansas with Silsbee this year. All in know is 21-6A is insanely loaded with talent. Crazy how one or two of those teams in district won't even make the playoffs.

This was a pretty boring and ugly game till towards the end of the 3rd. Might have been better for the Tigers if it had stayed that way. BU simply shot the ball better in the 4th and that was the ballgame. Silsbee still needs to improve on the defensive boards and loose balls. Not as bad as the Lufkin game, but not great either. Bold prediction: I think freshman P.Jones is gonna be a good player. Had a nice second half.

Looks like Miller is heading to Colorado now. I believe him and Johnson are the only kids not currently playing. Silsbee should have 10 or 11 kids they can trust in big games where every possession matters. Haven't see enough out of those others on the roster to know anything yet.

Pulling for North Shore, but I'm afraid this is Duncanville's year. Hopefully I'm wrong.

If Kountze is keeping most of these kids for at least another season or two, it might work for a brief time period. Tigers will be in a bit of a rebuild mode next year. Not sure I'd push it too much past that.
