10-10 tie in '88. We had a very upset locker room because a lot of our upperclassmen had never tied or lost a football game since they started playing for the Dawgs in the 7th grade.

We can agree on that for sure.

I messed that up a long time ago. 🤣 Doing good though. Looking forward to this little feud with the Tigers.

Come on, man. There are people from all over SETX that supported what those idiots did. Don't paint Jasper with a different brush than everyone else. That's not fair. Anyways, how the hell are ya? 😁

There may be more personal foul penalties than points in this game. I've been around this rivalry for over 40 years, but mostly from afar. As a kid, I always saw WO-S as a bigger rivalry, but the coaches we had and older people in the community would tell me that Silsbee was bigger by a country mile. Turns out they were right. DCTF has Silsbee at -15 and that seems about right. There's no reason to dispute that based on what has happened this season. Jasper has gotten better as the season has gone on and games aren't won on paper or any man's opinion. I don't pick against Jasper and I won't this time, either. Jasper 10, Silsbee 9. We're about to see some of the hardest hitting since the famous 3-0 game in 1987 against the Mustangs.

H-J finally went into positive yardage and scored on their last drive of the game against backups. -

I'll take WB in a 3-2 thriller.

Lincoln/Jasper was pretty intense back in the day, too.

Truth. There's an article out there that talks about some of the shenanigans involved.

Are you saying that this is a pillow fight?

Jasper (41) @ West Orange-Stark (38) - FINAL

I'm not here to pile on because if anyone knows what this is like for WOS, it's us. I was about to walk away from watching this when we looked like we were going to get smashed, but that didn't happen and we got it done when it mattered. Keep your heads up, Mustangs. Winning and losing goes in cycles for just about every team out there. -
Jasper JV beat WO-S JV 17-14.

If I had a dollar for each game we lost like this (tons), I might be able to afford a tank of gas. -
I should have revised my comment, but I'm working and wasn't focused. You're right.

This trend won't stop in Texas. It's hard to believe that they got the support to do this and there's something fishy about it. EDIT: They really need to do this. Thank you, Bigdog, for setting me straight.

This is a big game for Coach Crumedy and our program. I know H-F is good and i respect them, but can they beat us after toe meets leather at 7:30 on Friday night? I say no. Jasper 30, H-F 20.

I heard that Franklin has lunch at Taco Bell on game days to gas up. That opens up the holes for the running game. 😁
-
I'll take Jasper by 1. The Dawgs just need to get this done.

Legacy School of Sport Sciences @ Jasper 9/8/23

I heard that Legacy was pretty big overall and could be hard to deal with on both lines. Your thoughts? -
I don't know if he'd leave NU for quite a while if he wins there. After the whole thing in Carolina didn't work, he wanted to go somewhere that he'd be able to build and stay for a while. Nebraska football is everything in that state, so he'll still be high-profile as long as he's in Lincoln. If he gets it rolling there at some point, it'll be tough for him to leave or for HUskers fans to want him to leave. You're right, though. Anything can happen as there's no loyalty in sports anymore.
