IT'S REALIGNMENT DAY!!!!!/Post all realignment info here
Bulldogs92 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
The district with Carthage and Jasper (10-4A D2) is in Region 2. Jasper seems to flip flop from Region 2 and 3 every time. -

I didn't think so either. Carthage is the clear favorite in 10-4A D2. Jasper's losing a LOT from last year, so it's hard to say how they'll do. -

It's not right. 10-4A D2 Carthage Center Jasper Madisonville Rusk Shepherd -
I appreciate the discussion of the state of our schools immensely. I thought about teaching when I started college in the early 90's in Colorado, but I was already seeing gang presence in the high schools in Denver and decided that accounting was a better way to go. Looks like I made the right call, at least for me.

Agreed. Very classy move by the Mavericks organization. I still can't wrap my head around all of this. -

Crane's moves today were damage control, but I have been conflicted ever since the Astros moved to the AL West because I have also followed the Mariners since I moved to Seattle in '97. I guess that conflict can be ended now in good conscience. The M's probably should cheat (totally kidding), but they're too inept right now to know how to do it. Anyways, go M's. LOL -

That's plausible for sure. What a tough 24 hours for Houston sports fans. Jeez... -

Cora should be banned and deservedly so. I also think Crane did the right thing in letting Luhnow and Hinch go. I don't condone what happened even if everybody else in baseball is doing it. It doesn't mean the Astros had to stoop to that level. I love baseball and despise anyone who cheats the game and its fans. -
He played his butt off today. I'm a Seahawks fan, but he threw the ball pretty well today and made me nervous. The Eagles' o-line let him down.

Is a 9-team district (9-4A DII) really on the table? I'm not buying that at all. Ty - They have Orangefield as one of the nine teams.
-
If that's true. all the talk about us playing a soft schedule will go away. To be fair, I've been critical of our scheduling for years and that would make me feel much better.
-
You don't see too many spread teams that go 9-3 and score 19 points per game, but I don't know why it worked out that way for them.
-
Seems like they're gonna have to pony up more for this guy. Just looking off of stats alone, SDSU was pretty balanced, but they're only giving up maybe 10 points a game. Their defense is why they're good.
-
I may go to the New Mexico Bowl (SDSU vs. Central Michigan) out of curiosity since I'm here just to see what the Aztecs are running on offense.

I'm a Nebraska fan and Beck spent some time there as the OC. He got a lot of criticism, but I thought a lot of it was unfair just because expectations are always so high there. I think LU would be smart to get him before someone else does. Heck, I think UNM should be looking at him, too.

How is Jasper not ranked?

They do a good job. What a great comeback by the Tigers!

I follow UW pretty closely after living in Seattle for over a decade at one time. He said that he had projects in the works related to teaching leadership principles to groups of people. He'll also be a liaison to the UW athletic department. He's only 55, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that he'll coach again, but he said that he'd "like to not coach again." Everyone there seems to think that Jimmy Lake could be just as effective as Petersen was. He did a lot of the recruiting and has sent multiple guys from his defenses to the NFL.

Hey Coach. We were in the same class at JHS and it's good to see what you're doing with your team. I'm happy for you, man...
-
That was a fun district, man. Anyone could win on any given night except for Lumberton. They were still in the dark ages at that time and had a hard time beating anybody. I was disappointed when we and Silsbee got moved out to 20-4A. Liberty was in that new district too and they were a dang good team.
-
Exactly.
-
It's pretty good when you can upset the #1 team in the country without getting calls.
-
I'd be shocked if there was a coaching change. We had such a hard time finding someone that wanted to be there and he's doing a good job. People are overreacting to one bad night. Question for Jasper fans. Who's out there that would want that job that would do better? Be careful what you wish for.

We went through that after our championship game appearance in 2004. Hurricane Rita had a lot to do with that after our QB transferred to Diboll, but we fell off really fast after Coach Lauve left and we went through two other coaches before Darrell came in. It can go south really quick with a series of bad decisions. Navasota is another example of that...
