I think they'd have probably hit this point where they're struggling eventually just because of the way that recruiting has changed, It's tough to get Texas kids up there now unless you have an ace recruiter, closer, etc. They hadn't had one in years. Rhule has those inroads from his time at Baylor and his recruiting class for 2024 has shown that he can do well in Texas. That'd be huge for NU. At the time that the decision was made, they felt like UT was taking over the Big 12 off the field and that they could make more money in the Big 10, while still competing for conference championships. Pelini was doing a good job getting them to big games those first few years, but they lost them all and he was hard to deal with, so they fired him. I believe they'd still be very competitive had he stayed on board, but it wasn't what the boosters wanted, Rhule gives them a chance to get back to that level, but it's going to take some time. He knows what he's doing.

Somebody's lurking in the weeds in 4A-DII. That's all I'm gonna say... -
Those had styles? 😂

We're two days ahead of this game. I'm sure everyone on Jasper's staff would tell you that the Dawgs need to pick it up on offense. My question is whether our defense will be able to keep the Wildcats' offense off the field. DCTF seems to think so as they have us as a 29-point favorite. I'll go with it being closer than that because it's hard to read our team after last week. Dawgs 26 Cats 13 Thoughts?

No one worth being respected asks for it or tells everyone that he deserves it. I wish people were more self-aware so that these things wouldn't need to be pointed out all the time. Now - That was a really good game from everything that I've seen and heard. Both teams are primed for great seasons.

I'm a Huskers fan and I 1000% agree that they are out of place in the B1G. They make plenty outside of the media share they get, but moving out wouldn't be fiscally smart even if it means being more visible with a better chance to win.

2023 Astros - Defending WS Champs
Bulldogs92 replied to WOSdrummer99's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
The top three in the AL West are really good teams. Seattle (my team since moving there in 1997) is 32-14 in last 46 and 15-2 in last 17 road games, but they can't keep this up. The question is whether they can stay in the race. It's definitely fun right now. -
I knew who we were playing, but my ability to read and spell doesn't help anyone. Should be a good game again. 😁

Jasper's John McMillon debuted out of the Royals' pen against the Mariners on Thursday. He gave up a homer to Cal Raleigh, but also struck out two in the inning that he pitched. -
Let's go!!!

You guys are dead on. The only two things you want to see in scrimmages are that plays are being run correctly against similar competition and that no one gets hurt. As far as Jasper goes, I want to see the defense play well. That should always be the foundation of our team.

Jasper had a 11pm practice last Friday night per KJAS, but I don't know if that's a regular thing that Coach Crumedy does. Someone there would have more info on that. It might be more common as long as the summers are like this.

Interesting news regarding Jasper and Newton

It's an interesting school. I wish they had schools like that when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's. -

I'd like to see us get past the second round and I think we can, but that southern side of Region 3 will be tough to get through. It'll be interesting... -
He's right about getting some of the local under-recruited kids on campus (and hopefully out of the portal). There's a lot of talent in Southeast Texas that would make a world of difference. What systems will they go with on offense and defense?

[Hidden Content] Congrats to the young man! I had a feeling that he and Miller would go to the same school. Huge additions for the Aggies!

Don't sleep on the Bobcats. They might be in the preseason 6A top 10. 😁
