I predict that Huntington will play the game of their lives, but WOS will win 45-3.

Jasper had played clean football all season leading up to Friday night. I expect a focused Bulldog team in Center this week and a big game for Montavien Hunt. That spells trouble for the Roughriders.

Final score: Jasper 54, Tarkington 24. The starters sat the whole second half. Tarkington played their butts off. Gotta give them credit.

Mr. Lay called Hunt's name on one of those TD runs, but he's getting to the point that I can't trust a lot of what he's calling anymore and the other guy isn't much better.

If we lose that game, I will shave my head. I usually do on Fridays anyway. LOL

He'll get more carries against Tarkington after the week off. Gotta keep him sharp. I think that Center game might be a good one for a half.

I've barely heard Hunt's name at all because they haven't needed him. The other backs have played really well.

There was a time that it felt like SETX football was the best in the state because there were a lot of teams capable of making really deep playoff runs. I think people have forgotten about most teams in the area because the same few programs are always making the most noise come playoff time. They're looking at Jasper as an upstart based on the voting, but they're not really paying attention to what's going on there. I agree with Soulja. Woodville's getting the short end of the stick, too.

The scary thing is that he really doesn't get a lot of carries in most games. It's good to have depth at that position.

Agreed. I think it was pretty effective the other night.

There's been some good discussion the past few weeks about the Bulldogs and I just want to keep it going. The Red Devils have a couple of wins over pretty weak competition in Warren and Livingston, but have really struggled against everybody else that they have played. Jasper will win and it'll probably get ugly early, but how much do the backups play? Jasper will be going into its bye week after this game.

It's been a long time since Jasper was #1 in any poll. Congrats to those young men and to the Jasper coaching staff. There's a long way to go, but it's been a great season so far!

She doesn't get that we didn't do much in the passing game because we ran the ball at will. I don't usually talk up Jasper as much as some people, but this year's team looks legit. You have to give the Mustangs their due for all of the success that they've had, but some of their fans can't handle an off year with class. Your program deserves that.

He was showing some class. He's done this with everybody that we've played this year, so it has nothing to do with possibly seeing you guys again. I believe the Mustangs will be a much better football team come playoff time, but guess what? Jasper will be better too and there's no reason for the Bulldogs to fear the Mustangs. We've laid off the gas at some point in every game. I'm happy that we're in the position to do that.
