I think some of those Hebert teams of the late 70s and early 80s should at least be mentioned. They manhandled some otherwise dominant Jasper teams in the old 9-4A before the school closed.

I haven't said a whole lot since all of this started, but I'm with you on this. Our coaching staff did everything that they could to overcome all of the execution errors and at one time, a 29-7 deficit. Crosby (2.1) can say whatever he wants. At the end of the night, we had the ball with a chance to win the game and we came up short. That's football. On to Silsbee.

Oregon definitely looks good again with all of that speed. As a Huskers fan, it's painful to watch a team get back to that level so fast when we've been spinning our wheels for the last 20 years. I've tried to give Mike Riley the benefit of the doubt, but he's not the right guy to return the Huskers to glory.

I wish I had a copy of the '84 playoff game with them. We're not as good as that team, but Crosby needs a little history lesson so that they know what those country boys have done to them...

I would hope so. I never expected Crosby to look down on playing us considering everything that's going on, but they'll feel differently come Friday night. Should be a really good ballgame, too.

Why are you throwing so much shade at Jasper? We're more than a worthy opponent for the Cougars.

The last time Jasper played the Cougars was in the 1984 playoffs. I expect a different outcome this time around. The Bulldogs won that night by 70.

There is no Season 3 at EMCC. I don't know if Netflix is doing it somewhere else, but it's not happening there. They mentioned it last night on the broadcast. EMCC won 47-34.

They're down 28-21 to Jones in the 3rd quarter. The started a QB that transferred from LSU like 9 days ago.

I watched both seasons within about a week. Coach Stephens is a piece of work, but Brittany is the star of the show. EMCC plays its first game Thursday night at 7 against Jones County CC. The link to watch is: [Hidden Content]

That field would take a lot more of a beating than it already has with all of that rain and the groundskeepers would have to nurse it for weeks. I'm so glad that Jasper put turf in at the new stadium.

Now that the game at LCM has been cancelled, Jasper is looking for an opponent for this week if conditions are good enough to play. Newton would have been perfect, but I guess they've got Ozen on the schedule in Jasper on Saturday. Who else is a possibility?
