  1. There is still a hole in this story. If the affair had already been investigated in 2015, why was it being brought up again? No one in their right mind can actually believe that Wallis brought it up to try and force Reeves to resign, or be fired, nearly two years later. I can only assume that what is missing is a separate allegation regarding the same employee. Maybe they got caught again. Either way, the only reason any of us know these details is because the "tin foil hats" jumped out to allude that Wallis may have murdered Reeves right after this happened! Leave this alone, let his family heal, quit picking at the scab before the entire story hits the paper and the family is caused much more harm!
  2. Why is everyone convinced that the Superintendent has something to do with the suicide? It seems pretty cut and dried to me, and it is a very sad story that doesn't need to be inflamed with a conspiracy theory. The man got caught in his second affair, he was losing his job, probably going to lose his wife and his kids were at the age that they might decide to never speak do him again for doing this to their family. It weighted heavily and he thought he was beyond repair. End of story.
  3. I actually heard that this was another affair that hadn't been originally disclosed.
  4. I only know you based off of some interactions we had several years ago on here, and the "HJ" hint you had on your post. I ran around with the Pi Sig boys and tried to play a little football. Mostly just tore things up and got sent back to the BMT area after a couple of years. Life has slowed dramatically since then with the addition of a wife and children. Still have a soft spot for GT high school sports though.
  5. Interesting because I was at ETBU while he was there also. Did you play soccer by any chance?
  6. [Hidden Content] I'm a bit surprised by this, but I'm by no means an expert. What say you?
  7. And you should be! By all accounts you have a great son and I don't mean just athletically. He seems like a well rounded kid.
  8. This isn't too uncommon. A lot of D3 schools will carry very young coaches, especially if they are alumni.
  9. Cedric Isom - Newton Plays somewhere in Africa.
  10. Yeah, just a heinous assault that almost cost a kid his life. That's all.....
  11. So if a student were accused of rape off campus, the school wouldn't take any action to ensure he/she was separated from the general student population?
  12. While I agree with that logic, it kinda takes the luster off of the "hometown boy coming home" narrative he spun when he got the Liberty job in the first place. Plus, is that money really worth getting your doors blown off each week?
  13. Feaster is an interesting name on that list. Guy has had super success at Parkway and was pretty dang close to getting the Marshall job. My money is still on Brian Barbay being a last minute hire for KV. I think they will be able to woo him into taking the job.
  14. Why would Chad Taylor apply for this job? He is back at home in Liberty and has seemingly turned that program around. After one year of success he decided it's time to go try and head out? Based on that list above, he has no shot at this job which makes it even more tragic. I am beyond shocked at that news.
  15. ok. How does this hire address those concerns? Or did the administration decide to not let that play a factor?
  16. Wasn't there discussion about the previous coach being ousted over AAU issues? How does this hire play into that?
  17. Sounds like he might be just the kind of guy they need on staff (at least). There's a lot to be said about a guy who has been where the kids are and can impart that wisdom.
  18. Kinda out of the blue, but might be a good idea. The slot-t has taken many schools with a talent deficit and allowed them to compete. If they can control the clock by running the ball and play good defense they might be able to right the ship. Coach Fortune has never had athletes at either Tarkington or Hardin, so I'd be interested to see how he can do with a team with a few.
  19. This might be the best case scenario for Central. He wants to be there and we know the talent is there. Time to crank it up!!!
  20. I appreciate that info, but leaving Texas to coach in Louisiana is like trading in your Ferrari for a Hyundai. The point is that a soft landing spot has been created for Coach Stark and he should take it, whether WS is "home" or not.
  21. That's too bad too because he was definitely a good one. His situation was interesting to me because he was so young when he made the jump to admin. I understand doing it later in your career, but as a young, talented coach who I assume truly loved the game, it was weird to see him step out.
  22. This would be tough for me to see happening due to that particular coach's connection with that community. Truth is, if I were him I would probably look at doing it since things are still probably less than stable at his current location.
