Dont know about cheated but was a winnable game. The last 2 plays will be talked about for years to come. Thought the Dogs outplayed Bay City that night just couldnt get it in the endzone (or could they).

The 2001 team went 8-2 in Regular Season losing to Vidor 10-8 and PA Lincoln 42-8. Went 3-1 in playoffs losing to Smithson Valley in the State Semi's. THe 2000 team went 9-1 in regular season losing to WOS who lost in state final. Dogs lost to BAy CIty 7-0 in the astrodome. And BAy City rolled to a state title.

I can say Nederland has not had a very good track record with either  Dayton Maybe recently

I think Lobos will keep this one interesting throughout. If I could have picked any game to attend today it would have definately been this one.

After watching Yates play this year, they definately deserve to be there. I left TSU thinking that it was the most impressive high school team i had ever seen. Expecting big things next season from the Lions.

Over the last few years Nederland's Defense has about 5 INT's. The 2001 team had over 20 INT's on the season and i believe that they were something like +18 in turnover margin. That equals success.

I say screw the field turf. We need to use the natural grass as our home field advantage.

Last time Lamar won the tourney they were a 7 seed. Its anybodys ball game.
